We've all just been dying over the first.... What probably 15-20 mins for the last few hours

From incheon airport to Pyeongchang:

KTX: 2 hours

Drive: 3 hours

Train: 5.50 hours

 

assuming he'll probably be using car, it only takes 3 hours so.. he should be arriving soon. Lets see if he ninjas or not 

Also, when he talks about "not knowing his condition because he hasn't been on the ice here", a part of me wonders whether besides being his usual evasive media pro self, it also might not have been an honest comment from hearing about how other skaters had problems with the ice here?

Yes, about the being cautious in waiting until he feels the ice. He saw the TE with all the problems, knows Patrick complained about it, so it only makes sense to say little until he steps on it himself.

Patrick complained about the ice? I've only seen Nathan saying to ice was great and Shoma being really happy about the ice working well for him

I thought I read that he did... I could be wrong

I think he complained about the early morning, but I've heard numerous complaints about the ice from elsewhere..

He probably also texts Kobayashi + other people in Team Japan and they've probably heard more about the complaints than us

Actually, if they don't do any training in Seoul - and from Jack's schedule it seems they might not - it's definitely better to get the trip to Gangneung done now, then get tired again on the next days... I do think he'll be quite ninja in the village, though...
