  3. This. Sarebbe tutt'altra collaborazione.
  5. I honestly loved his Il Postino this season, but DW is a hit or miss. I would like to see him work with Buttle too, for example.
  6. I think Cha could get 2 tbh. Very excited to see a 4lo from him, his loop is so nice  (I assume choreo will be by DW?)
  7. You killed me.
  8. Javi was really disappoiting live for me. Slow...and you notice much more how he uses his upper body movements to hide the fact that his legs are quite...still. Satoko looks better live. But I have to say that imho the other ladies have much more potential to improve than she does. Her jumps are a huge limit...which is a shame, she's a lovely skater :/
  9. Flour I'd say xD
  10. But he said he's going to bring back an old friend, not with the same music, but part of it. So imo, it's gonna be an old FP. (My crack-bet is Pirates LOL :rofl2: )
  11. Hopefully yes, but I do want to see her on the Olympic team next year. Hopefully she'll do well on the GP, because she usually does well at nationals. I really hope to see some wonderful 3As from her. My only concern is her...popping habit? She needs a decent layout, that second 3lz3t combo rarely works. And when it doesn't it's not because she falls, she usually pops lutz.
  12. The only ones who don't love Wakaba (as they should) seem to be the judges tbh. Lots of people seem to like her actually  Imho she's the one with the best potential, if she becomes a bit more consistent.
  16. The axel just gives off a special vibe. Returning to the previous topic, no matter the number of quads, no matter the number of types of quads, in the end, my biggest weapon remains in how consistently and beautifully I can manage to do my axels. I believe that is something I’d like to hold onto firmly, even towards my biggest goals. For example, even if I were to do the 4A, two 3A’s would still be an absolute must.
  18. Benvenuta :space: *yes, Change, adoro quel programma *
  19. I think Rika has done pretty well on that. She can't fully rotate it most of the time in competition at the moment, but when she fell on it she always did pretty well anyway, which is a good start imo. Getting consistency on it will probably be the key, I guess we'll see if it happens or not. Just the fact that she did not make a mess of the whole program when she fell is a good sign, we've seen much older and more experienced girls do worse. And she does not have ur issues on other jumps, that's great. While for Mirai it's honestly puzzling, because she should probably address her issues with rotating other triples at first. Anyway, Japan has so many girls trying 3A, hopefully some of them will find the necessary consistency. I think Sakamoto could have a great 3A.
  20. well the best strategy would be to add 3A // up your technical content while increasing GOEs and PCs [kind of like yuzu in his early days but with extra quads instead] but the key is consistency + full rotation... the ladies field is kind of a bloodbath right now from 2nd place downwards, one mistake and you drop like 7 places... BV won't save you like it does for mens... well, that's what she is trying to do there imo. Adding tano is done to increase GOE after all, and all of that while still trying the 3A. So I think it's right to try now. You need to get adjusted to it so it might take time, but imo she's on the right track if she wants to be competitive.
  21. So true! UR calls can make that TES plummet :// Yeh the risk and reward weighting for 3A isn't really worth it - there are other, less risky ways to up your score, like maximising GOEs and PCs, or backloading and stuff... [although you could say backloading is quite risky if the skater doesn't have the stamina to pull it off consistently] I don't think it's like that anymore. It might have been true before Eteri's team literally broke the system, but as of now it's impossible to catch up with her girls (if they're clean) because they have the best strategy (and consistency). Rika might tano all she wants, but as we've seen it's not easy to do, you need the consistency too...and other than that you need to hit level 4s on everything every time plus high pcs. As of now considering the lead Eteri's girls have on the rest of the field GOE is not enough. To compete with the likes of Shcherbakova and Trusova she might need the 3A. It's not always worth the risk of course, but if you want to win that's what you have to do. You can't rely on things like GOE and levels because Eteri's girls do that better than anyone tbh. imho.
  22. I guess it will be interesting to see who will have a spot on JGP...men's field is pretty weak and among the ladies I guess we'll see some new girls, considering that both Kaori and Marin became seniors. I wonder if Yuna Shiraiwa will follow them...she could benefit from another season as a junior imho. Especially since she wouldn't really have a chance as a senior this year. Rika Kihira aside, who could be in? Riko Takino and Saya Suzuki?
  23. I remember Riko from Japanese nationals. Interesting that she's trying 3A. I don't think that's Rika final plan tho, she wanted to go for 2 3A, so...I guess that was a first layout to try. I don't like tanos but I think it's right for her to try, she knows that she needs to step up her game to win (and I like that she tries to xD)...La Strada tho :acceptable:
  24. Imo Dickson's choreo also works for her because it usually seems to challenge her to break out of her shell a bit. I think most of Satoko's growth when it comes to pe/in might be due to programs like Firedance/The Planets, since they were out of her comfort zone in a way. (lol I liked her programs for Mao this season and Sui/Han) Mmm, I see what you mean. But I do think that's something they can work on, she grew a lot this year (if you look at jwc 2016 and this year it's pretty shocking) so she's probably still adjusting to that. Technique is still questionable, but Satoko has improved a lot in the last two seasons, so I think Marin could too. What I noticed about Hamada's team is that they're not as terrible as other Japanese teams when it comes to strategy, so I think they'll probably do well. Polya was my fave as well, but her physical problems... Yes I think Rika can keep up too. (oh well, I'd skip Miyu, she's much more interested in acting, so I honestly don't get the hype about her. She would be age eligible for juniors, but does not have many triples yet, so I don't really think she'll ever be competitive tbh. Sara is nine, so it's really too early to say something, but I think Hamada said she was the most talented of the three so...I'm curious. The older novice girls haven't piqued my interest yet. I think only Moa Iwano is age eligible this year, but I'm not sure if I'm wrong) Yep, pretty amazing that she managed to have a successful and long career in spite of that jumping technique. Speaks volumes about her talent.
