    Yes, I noticed that too. He stopped himself from showing full on fist-pumping jubilation with Javi nearby and about to skate. It's wonderful how they support each other, and especially how Yuzu is so thoughtful of everyone around him.

    Ah! Finally finished catching up! I think I watched almost all the videos and clips there were of the skating class LOL! Now I'm But really happy with all the content we got today/yesterday I sometimes wonder... is it only fanyus who lose sleep like this?? I sometimes feel like we're all hyper with baggy eyes and floaty with lack of sleep most of the time, while the rest of the FS world is none the wiser. And this is just off-season...

    Yes, Misha posted about them here. And there was a video about them from JW as well a while back. It could be JW provides them to selected skaters only. Or it could also be the black blades are not exclusive, and can be requested by skaters, just like the gold blades we see on Johnny Weir. As for using the blades, Nathan Chen has definitely already put his black blades to good use...

    Yes, I think the special blades that were given to him were black. Other skaters received them too (in photo, Michal specifically mentions black blades from John Wilson). Now that you mentioned it, I wasn't quite sure if the blades Yuzu uses were parabolic. I just assumed they were, but realised I didn't have a source on that. So I went and did some research and... http://www.johnwilsonskates.com/hall-of-fame#yuzuru-hanyu Granted the description is not updated, but I guess it would be safe to assume he still uses parabolic blades, and that the black blades they gave him are parabolic as well.

    From the Japan Times article, I didn't know Kaori changed her SP music during the Gensun comp? I thought she just backloaded her jumps, didn't know she changed the music too. Or maybe this 2nd piece was made specifically for a backloaded layout, and she was just testing both programs out. It's an unusual approach if so.
