Yes! It's from when he went to Toronto alone for the first time I assume (to start training with TCC). Omg, it would be so cool if he came back to Canada on the 20th, five years later... not alone though, I bet.
-
Perfect! Pooh&TCC approved!
-
You forget he's too busy filling up with PROTEIN in order to go back to practicing at the top of his strenght to waste +400 daily calories in sugar and chocolate
-
It would be cute if today was his last day in Sendai... Sendai saying goodbye to him through the snow...

I have a hunch we're gonna break the 2000 barrier during Japanese Nationals

In the first one, Yuzuru looks like Keiji Tanaka hahahahha xDDDD

GUYSSSS! I totally forgot to tell you something. In this wednesday's podcast, Max and Angelo were talking about Yuzuru at NHK practice and... Max said that Yuzu was practicing 4Lz for the SHORT program. Because he has been doing the runthroughs with the 4Lz. So, before it was half runthroughs with 4Loop and half with 4Lz. Now, he only mentioned 4Lz and said it like he was sure Yuzuru was going to put it in the Short... So I don't want to alarm you but... I think 4Lz is here to stay, and the fact that Yuzuru injured himself while jumping that, will only motivate him to practice it more. Besides, I can already hear Yuzuru's words from an interview in two or three weeks (or right before Nats): "The reason I injured myself had nothing to do with 4Lz. My success percentage with 4Lz is good and I have practiced more so that I can put it in my programs."

Back in Toronto next weekend! Amazing! He already planned the trip back to Canada. Good news for me.

I'm sorry for both your ankles x'D If we hear something from Yuzu next week... I will be so damn happy!! I want him to go back to Toronto... start slowly... tame his internal fire and all. Don't skate unless nothing hurts in his body.
-
Maybe Yuzuru told Brian that the doctors told him he should be cleared to slowly start training after 10 days of rest... but they are not sure? Of course, his ankle has the last say. It may hurt a little at first? I'm not sure, I've never hurt my ankles :c
-
Yes, everyone who knows Yuzuru best knows he won't drop the 4Lz. I bet everything in my life he won't drop it.
-
I guess I'll just get a little something off my chest that's been bugging me since this whole CM story, please ignore if you're not in for gloom
-
No other country. Like. Literally. Only Japan can hype for more than one week a Commercial. By giving snippets. And photos. And writing articles. OF A CM. ONLY JAPAN.
-
I think it's the media weighing over him. Literally all of Japan and soooo many people outside of Japan speak of him. He has an exhibition of his photos. This alone is so much pressure for such a young athlete who never wanted to be an idol. I can understand how that affects his emotional wellbeing. I agree that he does seem more anxious, but you also have to consider that we don't see him on a daily basis. Probably, his peak of anxiety is during competitions. He wanted to compete a lot in NHK, and was in shock when he ended up injured. I think anyone would have been, in his position. Overall, I think Yuzuru is not in an emergency situation, anxiety-speaking. I believe he can deliver the performances he craves so much. In a field like figure skating, where we see so often athletes having psychological issues (even athletes retiring because of eating disorders and depression...), it's fundamental to observe an athlete's mental state when going into a competition. Yuzuru is extra-intense, emotionally, so he has the element of surprise: you never know what's it gonna be, disaster or world record? But, ultimately, I think he can overcome his anxieties, because his positive energy, his belief in himself, are stronger than his fears.

Don't apologize. Yuzuru hands deserve ALL the special mentions.

A message from Yuzuru's family?? Holy... I want to read it!!
-
"Mmmh, is Phil's article objective on Yuzu or the usual bullshit?" *reads the preview* [...]"Has been trying to keep up with the quad race"[...] Yuzu's still the only skater who managed to do a perfectly clean, artistically balanced program with 4 quads. the ONLY. so Yeah, he's been TRYING TO KEEP UP.

Well the reason for this is obvious. When you spend so much time trying to bring someone down, you actually feel guilty if anything happens to that person because your conscience isn't clean

You can watch, but you cannot touch... this is why I don't go shopping unless I have all the money to buy all the pretty things I see HAHAHA

So, theoretically... if Yuzu wins gold at 4CC... he would still be ahead. *whistles*
-
I feel like I will watch GPF Male singles because I want to follow what the judges do and how the "top 6 skaters" skate there and what is their condition... but it will be an extremely sad competition. Everyone will realize it. Probably, even the skaters skating there. I mean, just for example, Shoma's final aim is still to beat Yuzuru, but he's only going to have a chance at that at Nationals. And even there, we don't know how Yuzuru's condition is going to be.
