I think 'Rock star' and 'the Alien' don't make him justice, really. 'Alien' would be more suited to Nathan Chen, who can land (or wants to land) all those quads in a row, and gives a good show. 'Rock star', yes, he is one, but the reasons for that are legit and specific. It's his skating ability. I think these are superficial 'titles' that actually annoy me more than not. The 'Legend' of figure skating might be the most used among skaters and FS experts, and it is quite fitting. Also, at CoR, his amazing swan performance renowed his title of GOAT for some (Italian esp.). (Who also can't wait for him to land 4A)

I see Nathan Chen having an '800' as 2017/2018 GPF gold, so it's been updated, yes. I don't think GP series counts that much for world standings. Nathan has been off podium in Worlds 2017.

I've had the same impression, especially from Shoma, who started out way stronger than anyone with Lombardia trophy being almost perfectly clean (why yes, he didn't break a WR tho. So, maybe, not the strongest out there, lol), but now has really shown some difficulties, especially with the Free Program. The short was amazing at GPF, probably the best short of the season, if you count out that sad fall after the 3A LOL. I'm worried about these guys. This year might just be a complete catastrophe but I'm saying this without desire for jynx. Maybe, just maybe, Yuzuru was the luckiest because he missed out on GPF. Maybe it was good for his health and peaking moment.

Also, let's think about the possibility (well, it's going to be reality) of going to the Olympics without a planned layout, or maybe with a planned layout that you never tried before (a 7 quads program). Think about the psychological stress. Yeah, no joke about that. If I was Nathan, I'd be happy to come out of that alive.

Do you want to kill me? I'm currently studying the "step sequence"'s piano part at, like, 25% the original speed. It's so intricate, so desperate, so angry. Just like Yuzuru skates. Chopin's step sequence is the smartest, if not the most beautiful, step sequence in the history of figure skating, to me. Period. When I first found Chopin's SP on youtube, I was surprised. I said, out loud "Oh gosh, he's using this piece..." which I already had an emotional connection with... and he completely turned it upside down for me.
