It isn’t fair at all to compare Yuzu’s life with regular people that lead regular lives or even with fellow skaters. (How many of them have achieved two OGMs?) I know fans worry out of concern that he might be missing out but there’s no point in comparing what we know of Yuzu’s life (which in itself won’t be a comprehensive representation of his reality) with our own. And while that probably applies to any person’s life it applies even more to Yuzu because he lives such an extraordinary life and has such extraordinary goals. I am sure getting an OGM can’t compare to visiting the Niagara falls and he might just not be interested in such things.

Just wanna join the chorus of Yuzu‘s IB is great. It may not be as low as Shizuka‘s and maybe I‘m saying this because I am an extremely biased Yuzu fan (TM) but the super low laybacks, while gorgeous, make me a bit uncomfortable when watching. On the other hand Yuzu‘s layback IB is perfect to me. Yuzu‘s layback, how he expresses them, how much speed he has in them, his position and especially how he uses his arms in them(!!) is perfect to me. I agree his Biellmann isn’t the best and he looses speed in them but to me his rounder Biellmann position is pretty, too. It would look weird if he had a tighter position? I think he should keep it for all it’s worth

You are confusing jump sequences with combinations. Axel sequences have always been around, some ladies do them, actually. You just only get 70% of the points for both jumps so they don’t always make sense to use in layouts. (I am not sure if that changed as I haven‘t been able to look through the new proposed rules beyond the BV assigned to the 4A to spare my nerves)

Conspiracy theory: They've over-complicated everything so that no one knows what's what anymore and can't really hold the judges accountable anymore because... where to start? It will be even harder to track what rules were applied and how they were applied just by looking at the scores. What a mess lmao

Well it's not completely random. The order S/T -> Lo -> F/Lz -> A is in about right. Sals and toeloops allow the most prerotation and are the easiest to jump. Loops also allow as much prerotation, but they're jumped and landed on the same leg and require more edge control so they're more difficult. Flips and Lutzes allow only 90° prerotation (in theory) and Axels require an extra 1/2 rotation plus the forward take-off throws most skaters off. But the differences in BV seem arbitrary at times and don't always represent legitimately how much more difficult a jump is. There's also discussions about how the quad versions of some jumps (like loops) are more difficult than some quads which are assigned a higher BV. The 4A deserving only one point more than the 4Lz (or 1.5 in case of maxed out GOEs) is just ridiculous to say the least....

What they could have done is make it a documentary of interviews with the people they are using as a source for this drama thing. It also seems a bit rushed? It’s only been 3 months. If they waited a bit with it they could maybe even have been able to interview Yuzu at some point (and wouldn’t need the re-enacting). I‘ve never watched one of these and don’t know much about Japanese TV but to me it just seems to be a way to capitalize on Yuzu‘s struggles while the olys hype is still alive and that doesn’t sit too well with me I am not going to watch it either... unless the reactions are good or something. If there is any new info that comes with this show I‘m sure fans will discuss it anyway
