I think it’s likely I bet he‘s also excited about a new EX now that he hasn’t had a new one in two years. And maybe it’s too early to get competitive programs? Since the new rules for next season are not set in stone yet (although already roughly decided on)

LOL I doubt Yuzu would do well with a partner. He seems to work best when he can focus on himself and, not to belittle Zhenia, but her presence would be drowned by Yuzu‘s... aside from the fact that they have vastly different styles, to put it nicely. They would be a pretty unbalanced match

Ah but the reason he had trouble with the triple lutz in recent years is because he was working on the quad lutz which messed his rhythm for the triple up and because it’s been the last/second to last jump in his programs. Especially in H&L he jumped it in the last few seconds, after his tiring choreo sequence and directly after the layback ina bauer which understandably brought the success rate of his 3Lz down.

imo it's more dangerous to assume Yuzu can master a quad axel and a quint within 2-3 seasons and that a quint is "just another half rotation" away from a quad axel

You are confusing something here. It is one thing to get back your existing quads you have been jumping for years and a whoooole other thing to learn a new quad let alone a quad axel or quint. Those are incomparable
