  1. Shoma only acts tough when there's Yuzuru being the one on top who suffers all pressure. Give Shoma the attention and the pressure Yuzuru has had to deal with since Sochi, he will succumb to it. Honestlly, I don't think any of top skaters who can deal with the pressure Yuzuru has had to take. Maybe Plushenko and Yagudin at their prime. But Yagudin went to therapy and Plushenko also messed his first OLympic.
  2. I am not good at judging, let me try to be a tech specialist.
  3. Well Yuna did fix that bad habit and landed all her jumps at Vancouver, WC 2013 and Sochi. I think Yuzuru will manage to as well. and of course he will have an upgrade layout next season. The focus in technique will be shifted.
  4. It's funny how Yuzuru this season had same tendency to pop jump like Yuna before Vancouver... I think the injury after Boston did affect his mentality a lot. Before that he often rotated the jumps. But next season he will upgrade his layout so... we shall see. Hopefully it will turn out to be right in the end for Yuzuru.
  5. The point for 4-4 is if they can do it in SP or not, cause under the current system, it does not worth much to do 4-4 in LP.
  6. And at the moment, it seems 4-4 is not allowed to do in SP yet? Right @mcq, I haven't checked the rules.
  7. I highly doubt Nathan would do 3-4 or 4-4 cause it's not enough rewards. It is better to do quads as the first jumps in combo. I think it is more likely Nathan will do 6 quads with 4lz and 4F repeat OR he will add 4lo and have 7 quads. But there has been no news of Nathan trying out 4lo in that jump competition yet.
  8. Shoma landed heavy UR 3A4T... I think Jackie sure knows Nathan has a better chance of landing fully rotated quads.
  9. Jackie Wong already jumps to conclusion that Nathan will do 4-4 next season. However, it does not make sense under the current system to do 4-4 cause it's too much risk and not enough rewards.
  10. Well, being pretty doesn't help Zijun Li... apparently...
  11. Honestly, it's those comments were from Japanese that surprise me the most. There is no need for all Japanese people to support Yuzuru and think he is this or that. It is normal not to like him. But to call him not a man. It is not just prejudiced but also disrespectful to a person regardless of who they are, famous or not. But anyway, nasty people are everywhere.
  12. I have seen Kei Nishikori in other media and I actually think they picked a very good photo of him. Had they picked the photo in which he smiled... Anyway, I grew up watching football where many good players are handsome, so I am not new to macho men looking bloody with sweats (literally). I do think, men in sports do not need to look handsome or attractive. For example, Messi is not handsome by any means, he is just a guy-next-door but he is sooooo talented and so rich.... so in general, looks in men sport do not matter much.
  13. With sportsmen, especially men, you do not have to look good to be famous. Many top sportsmen are not that easy to the eye so... Just I find it very funny when they call these famous sportsmen as hot just because they are famous and rich... cause.... welll... I would not call Tiger Woods as hot lol.
  14. Yuzuru is not my type. It's the Pooh that caught me... lol
  15. I mean... I don't follow Kei Nishikori career and I have not much interest in tennis. So I can't tell who he is in person. But I have followed football (or soccer if you're American), and I have to say: THERE ARE MANY MACHO GUYS WITH MUCH MUCH BETTER LOOKS (like 100000% lol) than that. I mean, football players with handsome looks are not rare. Lol Kei Nishikori's gummy smile really chases me away if you want to ask me to judge people just by their looks.
  16. and it is funny but I have to say, in the list of those male athletes, Yuzuru is truly striking and more like an artist than an athletes if they judge by the looks only. The rest are typical sportsmen. Not that there is anything wrong with it. They are sportsmen and people can tell them right away. I like that Yuzuru's looks fool people. He is the best example of: "Do not judge someone by their looks". Lol BTW... am I the only one who find Kei Nishikori not handsome at all (I mean he is NOT easy to the eyes by average Asian standard). Nishikori has a gummy smile. And I do not know how people here think, but in my country, a gummy smile is highly unattractive.
  17. Well, Russian is also a macho society... Not that I want to offend Russians. I think it is just the reality of this world. We still live in a world where the majority of people think men should act like that and look like this. And women should be feminine etc. The point is, it is still a bit sad that the most famous and celebrated skater of the current field is considered weak by the non-fans. I never consider world classes athletes weak even I do not follow their sports.
  18. Actually, I am fine with the non-fans of FS. It is hard to understand FS. Frankly, If it's not Yuzuru it will be other skaters in that positions to be hated anyway. Because many people see that a huge amount of people love Yuzuru and they do not follow skating so they think his fans like him only for his looks (and Yuzuru's costumes do not help too lol). Let's say, it's Ryuji Hino in that position, outsiders will just say the same. Because they have a strong bias against skating in the first place. Americans call it a gay sport so it's also hard for male American skaters, to be honest, their world is so macho. Which is quite sad... because I can tell some swimmers as hot and handsome even though I am not a fan of that sport at all. Figure skating is still treated quite wrong by the public media.
  19. Sorry for being late, has this been shared before? http://aramajapan.com/news/gossip/yuzuru-hanyu-wins-male-athlete-marriage-poll-receives-mixed-results-online/75231/ It seems many people dislike Yuzuru commented there. oh well... FS is really not considered serious by the mass.
  20. You certainly have not been here long enough to know Karne.
  21. Do you have the source? No DOI means good... he will have time to do new programs.
  22. My plans includes flying to Japan to skin the designer Lotter alive.
  23. Thank you. this makes more sense why Yuzuru can do Biellman while Jason does not even though he is also flexible.
