Surprisingly, I like the music, and in the places where there is choreo, I like it. The prroblem is, large sections are just glaringly empty. Between the first 3 jumps, I wondered how many twists and turns Yuzu would have managed to do to that twisty music. Of corse it's not like Yuzu doesn't have emptyish parts when he sets up for initial quads, but it's not that empty. If Boyang gets more engaged in that program, it could be nice. Here, he seemed to want to finish as soon as possible, the way he went limp at the end.

I think "Featherborn" sounds better. I've made yet another - third? fourth? - edit of Origin. @holina asked for an edit with "that hand movement" so I used fancam footage. I also used it to make the hydroblade more pronounced and the exit from the second spin more dynamic, but the footage is a bit jerky so I'm not sure whether I shouldn't change it back. Even without looking, I knew immediately what you were talking about! I love that arm movement, noticed it when I was editing the footage the first time around. The problem is the camera is far away and Yuzu's hand is away from the camera so that movement is unnoticeable to an avarage eye. BUT I'm going to look at fancams that were taken from the other side of the rink and if the quality is good enough and I obtain permission, I will edit it in. And if not... well, I might just edit a second version because I love it too! (Btw, vpn is one of the best investments I've made because it seems even Eurosport is on the blocking bandwagon )

Due to lack of new content, I've been amusing myself with editing Yuzu programs. Here's Origin, a Rostelecom/Worlds edit. IMO Rostelecom was better interpretation-wise but the camera work was too far away sometimes so I replaced some parts with Worlds footage. And jumps, of course. I think it's about 50/50. Almost as the program should have looked like! But... Trusova's music isn't "badass". It's a Muse Matt Bellamy ballad one part and some slow generic piano/strings on the other part. Don't take me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Muse and Matt Bellamy wailing but I'm afraid it'll be "generic Danny G" program, like Polina Tsurskaya's Game of Thrones program. That one was as far from badass as it can get. The Twilight program is supposed to consist of Muse's Supermassive Black Hole which has a modern alt rock sound and isn't as ballady, and Blue Foundation Eyes on Fire which is moody mid-tempo modern uh, pop? alt pop? Anyway, I think music choices for Alena give more opportunity to build an intersting program. Though, yea, it's Daniil we're talking about, he can just as well pick the most boring parts of the songs and have Alena mime a sparkly vampire or something.

Well, she IS 15. Lol, I hate Bella character but I'll try to look at the program without the prism of the movies. After all, you can't pack all that stupid shit into a skating program, right.

I don't mind, as long as the the music is good and the sound fits. Maybe the movies about Cleopatra didn't have memorable, skatable music.

Twilight for a teen girl seems like an actually appropriate choice. The music is great, those shitty movies had genuinely good music. There's a character she can play, or just put on a vampire show. I see it as opportunity to show off her performance skills and I hate the books/movies as much as the next person. Looking at the music pieces chosen, I'm more worried about Trusova's Game of Thrones because it sounds just like 3/4 of everything Daniil has ever done.

If he didn't have to beat Yuzu, he'd have to beat Nathan+Shoma or Vincent+Shoma. Those GPs he got are certainly not extra difficult for him.
