    If I understand correctly, British skaters are still not allowed to train because skating is considered as "leisure" rather than a "professional" sport. Rinks are closed. Several skaters have expressed their frustration publicly.

    Let's be honest: the driver is money and tv rights, not some noble sport goals. Not even the Olympics can justify keeping SkAm in Vegas, one of the worst hub for Covid contamination at the moment. Especially if they plan to have an audience (still no word on that, who knows how it will be in 3 months). It should be criminal at this point. Olympics? Worlds? A fat lot of good that will do to those whose lives will be impacted (and who aren't necessarily the skaters themselves). I'd say there are over 150K+ reasons why this is a terrible decision.

    Are judges supposed to evaluate from one single camera (as in, skaters will barely be visible when further away)? Or are skaters expected to set up multiple cameras in the rink (so easy and reasonable for everyone, especially skaters with less resources, right? ) I get wanting to organize *anything* this year, be it different from usual, but I don't trust the ISU to think of even the most obvious logistic implications. Doing it for fun is one thing, but if there is a prize money or if it counts for rankings in any way.... Let's see but I don't have much hope.

    I think you're way, way overthinking this. The joke is just that he doesn't train them much in public practice. That's it. For all we know, he could just be confident enough about them and feel he doesn't need to train them compared to more volatile elements like jumps. Other skaters don't really practice spins in public that much either.
