With a big team like TCC its impossible to do that, unlike Shoma has his coach with him all the time. Not to mention, there's alot issue like money, accomodation, ice time. Its not a problem for Yuzuru but for alot of skaters out there. Yuzuru's doing well with jet lag, long filght in the last 8 years. Last year NHK was a series of unfortunate things combined.

I think originally Yuzuru assigned SC +NHK/IDF, Shoma got COC+NHK. But since COC cancelled, Finland need big names to sell the ticket and get attention so he switch from SC/NHK to Finland and to COR to avoid back to back GPs. Its a deal between Finland, ISU and JSF ( and maybe RUS fed with Alina too). For me I'm more surprise that him not getting SC than NHK. The only problem here is the small gap between 2 GPs. I really hope he stay in Europe to train for COR with Ghislain. I think Yuzuru will be fine, his current condition is much better than post Boston. Don't forget the 4 min LP, I can see a lot of men struggle with this. He hardly ever get easy competitions so he used to fight for it. As long as he's healthy, I'm ok with anything. I'm so excited just to see his name on GP assignment Its too early too predict GPF, who couldn've thought last year we had no Yuzuru/Patrick/Javi at final. There will be one or two surprises qualifiers. For me, its Finland>COR=IDF>>NHK>SC=SA for the men's field and IDF=COR > SC>SA=NHK>Finland for ladies. Poor Wakaba and Mai. I can see they rob Mai and 4th place again Satoko get good GPs. She and Radionova are the only ones who won't face either Evgenia or Alina.
-
Look at Wakaba and Mai's GPs and I'm Why they always have toughest GPs
-
Since when they really care about him ? I would take this as a fresh change and I have a good feeling about Finland. Tbh I'm surprise that he got COR. I thought Rus fed would protect Kolyada more.

Well I think this is the best they could do. Shoma finally get a home GP, more fans have chance to see Yuzuru. He will do Nationals, Worlds, and possile WTT in Japan *knock on all woods*. My biggest fear in the past few days is Yuzuru and Shoma at NHK because it will open a can of worms, luckily JSF is not that stupid.
-
Am I the only one who glad Yuzuru finally not getting NHK ? He basically did NHK for the whole past quad. Let him grace another GPs with his presence
-
Evgenia got SC and IDF Edit : I agreed the SA's men field is pretty much guarantee 1-2 for Nathan and Vincent.
-
Well, maybe he also want to avoid NHK as its 4th GP again ? Anyway I feel good about his 2GPs. Finland is always a lucky place for him. The biggest surprise for me is he didn't get SC, since I fully expected Shoma would get NHK. Now given the timeline, maybe he will stay somewhere in europe to train after Finland ?
-
A good surprise I think :'D I still can't believe Yuzuru gonna have 2 europe GP !!!!!
-
i told you Shoma will get NHK. there's no way JSF would put 2 gold contenders in the same GP Now, I need to check flight and hotel aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
-
OMG I need to go to Helsinki !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I still find its unlikely Yuzuru would do NHK + IDF. That's mean he might have 4 comps and travel across 3 continents in 7 weeks ( Canada-Japan-France-Canada-Japan). Its sound like a recipe for disaster My guess is still SC + IDF

According to this : https://this.kiji.is/382816611918759009, the 3rd GP is likely to be in Europe. Dont know if they just speculating or knowing something behind the scene ?

The Chinese judge in men's event derserved to be punished as it was too obvious and she already did the same thing in 4CC. However, Feng Huang and Lorrie Parker's national bias are about the same. Tbh, Lorrie Parker did even worse than Feng Huang, but yeah, for some reason, she got pass. So at least for the men's event, the message is " learn how to cheat like US judge, not like Chinese". Anyone who defend Lorrie and think its right that Nathan's Lp should be 30 pts higher than Yuzuru's need to check their brain And yeah, I saw some people's back to their same old "Hanyu won so why you still complain ?" again. Well, why 2 chinese judges were suspended when S/H didn't win and Boyang didn't get medal in the end ???

You can repeat 2 type of jump, 1quad + 1 triple or 2 triples, but not 2 quads. Both for men and ladies. -

Tbh most men only repeat one quad in their LP layout, except Chen and Vincent (and Yuzuru at Olys). I'm ok with this. -

With the new bonus rule the only way to up BV is go for harder jump. And if the rule for no repeat quad get pass, it could be a nightmare. Is there any chance for a revision ? *I found their voting system is so problematic* -

And before 2022, they will ban 4-3 and 3-3 as the last jumping pass because not everyone can do that -

And all will do combo as last jump in SP. Canada's proposal is better. Japan, do you know most of you top skaters do 2 jumps in 2nd half sP and 4 in LP ????? -
