  1. Of course you're correct. On the other hand, it is hard to ignore because of what it says about the way they do things.
  2. In fact, reading what he wrote, it would seem we weren't dramatic enough. I didn't save the link, but someone posted on Twitter that a sport journalist even contacted Putin's press secretary looking for a comment on Plush vs Tutberidze. Crazy times.
  3. T*L must be cackling with glee over that mess since they live for drama. Incidentally the only bit of it I read was a translation of Plush's response to Eteri, and I was rather impressed at the sharpness of the man's pen. In his native tongue, he's definitely got a way with words.
  4. Given the distances he's traveling and the tight turnaround time between the two competitions, let's just hope there's no airline/airport/flight delay/ other travel drama for any of them, and that all the luggage arrives safely. First things first.
  5. Didn't he tell H*rsh that's exactly what he was going to do?
  6. It's the same pictures, just different costume colour Photoshopped on. Makes me wonder what colour the costume was originally.
  7. I dunno. The Times 100 list is more about notoriety and getting people talking than about being a great person... I mean some very questionable individuals have made that list. Not sure if making that list would be as complimentary as we'd like.
  8. I have definitely come to regret joining Twitter.
  9. Hey, Han Yan just got back on the competitive scene with a great showing at Cup of China. Don't write him off as a part of the past!
  10. If that's not the exact description of what we saw Yuzu doing during the takeoff on those 4A attempts, I don't know what is. I mean, it was distinctive and obvious; his forward motion all but halted as he vaulted into the air and began to rotate. Also, I was checking schedules and I don't think I'll be able to watch any of JNats live. I'm babysitting my sister's kids over the Christmas holidays and the broadcast schedule for the live viewing is exactly at the same time they have to get out the door to school...maybe for the final I can watch because I think that's Sunday morning for me.
  11. If the GPF organizers hadn't thought streamer confetti was such a great idea, we might even have had that side by side beauty by now, who knows?
  12. That other forum has a fairly large contingent of members who don't like either Yuzu or fanyus. So those comments are about what I would expect from them.
  13. Apparently you gave him a linguistic challenge as well because he couldn't figure out how to pronounce "shea"...that made me laugh so much.
  14. Oh, which one's yours? I thought they were all really nice ideas.
  15. Ok, just leaving this here. Roman loved NHK. And apparently he likes Doraemon. I can picture the Doraemon rain now...
  16. No, no, no. Hanyu/Papadakis for the comedy gold. They're both so quirky and have such a sense of fun. It would be delightful to see what they'd come up with No, you don't understand what the ROM is like. If he times his visit to the right time of day, no one will even realize it's him. I bet he would do it side by side with Nathan if Nathan asked, though.
  17. I'm positive he was trying to memorize Nathan's Benny and the Jets choreo/step sequence during the GPF OP.
  18. Oh, I hope Yuzuru finds out about this and gets a chance to go!
  19. If she does, it'll be under another coach, of that I'm sure. But maybe she's lost her zeal for competition. She doesn't seem to have the same fire of defiance in her that Zhenya does. Well, at this rate, who wants to lay odds that none of this year's crop of Eteri girls makes it to Beijing (WADA ban notwithstanding)?
  20. I think it would be great to see Yuzu do a Taiko drum-based program with a natsu matsuri feel. It would be completely different from anything he's ever done and could be super high energy and fun.
  21. I love that they have Johnny Weir playing a pairs skater. I don't love that this article doesn't even mention the skaters who are in this, just the actors. Actors, who cares? We're all going to be watching for the skating anyway.
  22. I know, right? I'm always torn between wishing I had that much fitness myself, and admiring what he has going on. @Geo1 So to sum up, as far as Tourism Kelowna is concerned, Yuzu is welcome back any time. I picture all the nice old ladies working in the tourist information center doing this if he ever shows up again.
  23. I thought he was alluding to the fact that the next Olys are in China, but it could also be interpreted the way you have. hard to know, I don't follow Max usually so have no idea what his attitudes are. ...and I see I'm late to the discussion as usual
