Wow. Sooooo much to unpack here. But she more or less states directly that politicking is what makes the scores happen in the ISU. Which makes Yuzu's wins seem even more amazing, really.

Well, I wasn't expecting to hear that today... Elvis listed in the so-called Pandora Papers of world elite practicing questionable tax avoidance schemes: Edited to add: Jan Djiksma, the head of the ISU, is also listed in the papers. There's bound to be more.

Clearly they get blinded by his gorgeousness.

Best figure-skating story ever written. Definitely my favorite. 12/10 would read it all over again. Edited to add: I love that we got more Yuzu crumbs, but he definitely looks best in different colors than tan and green. Blue, red, and purple Yuzu outfits are the best.

I always find it amazing how Guillaume makes Gabby look completely weightless when he picks her up. And their long, swooping, deep edges are something else. That being said, I can see things in this program that might still need work, especially the kneeling move in the middle...just looks like a stoppage instead of a planned choreo.

More like, this is what you get from Richaud? I find that it's a rare program of his that ever does the skater justice.

I like it better than the gloomy colors of her FS costume. Kaori looks amazing in jewel tones - she just glows with life in them. So I watched Kaori's FS and I kind of get why everyone's not liking it. She has so much speed and power and the program doesn't take advantage of that at all. I would love to see what Kaori could do with a Jeff Butle program. He has a way of bringing out the hidden fireworks a skater has and making them pop on the ice.

@hananistellata good point. Many more fanyus are in your position than those who get to see him live.

Oe last thing: Since it looks like things are slowly lurching towards satellites being able to go competitions again, if there's anyone who would like to receive a badge for use at PH satellite-only meetups and gatherings, please feel free to DM me.

Resurrecting this thread because it looks like satellites will finally be able to get together again and meet up at competitions!!! I still have approximately 65 badges of fiery green Seimei Yuzu and 30 or so ( I haven't counted) badges of Snow Yuzu ( also in Seimei costume) available, and I'm happy to send them out to whoever wants them. As I've noted before, these badges are meant to be used at PH satellite-only gatherings (not while among the general public) as an aide-memoire for each other's names. Just DM me, and include whether you would like a plain badge, or your name(s) added, and if you want customized sparkle added, or not. I might ask you to chip in for the cost of shipping if you live very far away, but otherwise I do not charge for these. They are a gift from me to you. Just FYI.

And it's a beautiful thing. Dear sweet nerdy Yuzu, never change! ♥

Yes, we can definitely trust the Chinese fanyus to make it a happy time for Yuzu and cheer him on well.

Cha Junhwan, ice idol: https://www.instagram.com/tv/CUehjhxDseR/?utm_medium=copy_link They literally are calling him the one 'whose visuals do not lose to idols', LOL! But what's with that hairstyle!

To me what matters is whether Yuzu liked his performance or not. If he's happy, then we know for sure it was good and technically perfect.

As it should be, since figure skating is a performance art.

So true!

Yeah. I can relate. I'd suggest a deep dive into ice dance, but that way lies madness....

You need a filler or side fandom that you can use to tide you over the Yuzu drought. On that note, there's always room for one more over in the BTS Fan Club thread. 💜

Just a word of caution here: grief can be tricky and not everyone processes it the same way. Your sister may have perceived your offer as inappropriate to the situation, hence why she rejected it. I find when it comes to sharing Yuzu, picking your time carefully is paramount. If someone isn't ready, it can backfire.

Greetings back! Would love to know your mom's predictions for the season if she has any.

Happy Birthday, Tracy! Thank you for your continued positive influence over the sport!

Oh dear Lord, I'm sorry. I also dislike that song for its inherent nihilism...which is of course a take that no one agrees with...but, like you, I clicked off again and went scrolling through some of the other performances instead.

Hi satellites! This is not directly Yuzu-related, but it's a great cause and a good concert, so check it out: And because I'm not confident in my ability to cross-post between forums, here's the direct link to the concert:

well of course, but as you say the artist made it much more obvious with their choice of drawing style for him.
