RAINBOW ORIGIN could be amazing if it were modelled after an iridescent bird, like this one. Imagine Yuzu coming out in a black feathered Origin, but then the feathers shift colours as he moves or when the light hits him differently, like an oil slick.

Me, some time after the last ice in the Milky Way has melted, clutching my collection of Yuzu modeling swim goggles clearfiles: Nothing but respect for MY two-time Olympic Summer Games Gold Medalist in the 100m and 200m backstroke!! See y'all at the parade and Continues With Swims!!!

With every bit of news coming from Lakernik et al, I want Yuzu to have a full and fulfilling 2019-2020, then gtfo as fast as he can. Best wishes to all skaters younger than him, especially the novices and juniors coming up, because right now this sport is like a car careening towards a cliff with a brick duct-taped to the accelerator. As a selfish fan, I don't want Yuzu to have any part of the mess the remainder of this quadrennial is shaping up to be.

I think it would be really nice if a bunch of athletes from both summer and winter sports held individual torches (like they did at the Vancouver Olympics), then passed them off to a group of children from Tohoku who would light the flame together. Then it wouldn't be all on one torch 'star', there would be less argument (especially around a winter athlete opening a summer Olympics, if Yuzu did it alone, though honestly I think he's such an icon that he's kind of transcended that), and the focus would stay on the disaster area and hope for its future.

"A man like jade"...what a gorgeous compliment from a Chinese company. There are Chinese expressions - "gold is valuable but jade is priceless," "a virtuous person is like jade." For centuries jade has represented all the positive traits a person can have - sincerity, wisdom, righteousness, nobility, strength, beauty... TL;DR comparing Yuzu to jade is really nice.

Too many things coming out, don't know what to do!! Anyway I am really impressed already with the care Citizen is taking with their UNKNOWN PERSON aesthetic, just from the one Weibo promo image! It's very UNKNOWN PERSON's personal brand (or I guess it would be if I knew who UNKNOWN PERSON was.....) and I like that they went with a simple model in rose gold, nestled in feathers, instead of something slick and platinum and "masculine" and definitively from the men's line, which you would expect a company to do with an 'ice' aesthetic on an UNKNOWN MALE PERSON campaign. The contrast of the soft androgynous (insofar as we can gender or not gender A Thing On Your Wrist) beauty of the warm-toned watch with the cool blue background is very nice and is something UNKNOWN PERSON would possibly approve of.

Yuzu-music-related - does anyone have a link to a video of Shinya Kiyozuka performing in a mall or somewhere? One of the pieces he played was HYK. The video I saw was on Instagram, and I think it was from the latter half of 2018 (after FaOI last year was over), but I can't find it and I'd like to see it again. I love those videos where famous musicians turn up in public places and impress everyone.
