Forgive this TV ignoramus, but how does one see the upcoming ice shows on TV Asahi, and for that matter, other broadcasts? Would I have to order satellite TV? Is there a secret streaming pirated channel I could watch? Any assistance much appreciated. お願いします。。 Im a new fan but this seems like a very productive dry season.

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask but on the second “page” of this post Mr H is very animatedly talking about something, and I get a few words but the rest flies by (argh). Could someone help me out? As a bonus there are a couple nice pics of him after the second page.

@ToniProbably OT: I’m pretty sure I’m an “auntie” on this site and the young men “back in my day” looked like, well, BOrser iin 1988, replete with mullet hairdos and pleather pants. To me Mr Hanyu shines like a gem because I had to live through that mess of a fashion era (I got a lot of kuyashii about that) and now I see this amazing person just being himself and he’s lovely and in the flower of his youth, and I’m all jealous. Lol.

I wonder what he would had done if he hadn't found skating. I can see a math or economics teacher who sponsors the baseball team on the side. (OT: Deep respect to Japanese teachers who have to be some of the hardest working people you'd ever wish would take a long vacation.)

I've seen prom pictures from here in the US and "manner hands" don't seem to be unusual. I believe it's supposed to show respectful and gentlemanly courtesy.

Can someone tell me concisely or point me in the direction of something as to why 2015 was such a tough year? I get bits and pieces but I feel like I’m missing the whole picture. (Am I being too demanding? If so I’ll just )

Possibly the wrong place to post this, but I just watched a video of Mr Hanyu’s 2015 Seimei practice in Barcelona. Someone else commented, and I, too, am in love with one part where he does a little jump (mazurka?) that just elevates the beauty of his next steps. It’s completely on the beat, so pretty, probably unnecessary and he makes it look so easy. You can really see his body lines and gestures in his training gear. He looks like a black flame dancing over the ice. Beautiful, mesmerizing, dangerous.
