Unfairness here is stunning, and it really gets me how Liza must feel. I really hope she's strong because I would seriously give up in her place. Reading quotes from officials how this is fair because Zhenya won Russian Cup is really like a joke. Even with that one win (that shouldn't even happen imo, sooooo much overscoring), that's just so wrong and they are shamelessly saying that it was based on "sports principle". We all know what it was based on. Anyway, I undertand why they did it but it doesn't make me feel less sick because of it.

I'm so disappointed and sad for Liza right now. I don't have anything against Zhenya personally, Iike her as a person (not really as a skater...) but that really leaves a bad taste for me. Hard to root for her. Sorry.

I feel exactly like that at the moment, even that insta post by Zhenya... I want to think it wasn't part of something bigger, but it certainly looks like she wants to put some pressure to give that spot to her. Sigh. Or maybe she didn't even think about it but well. That's weird, I mean if they really think the team from Euros is most likely then ok, but otherwise, uhhhh... they can change to sibstitutes and it's not decision of skaters submitted initially as competitors, but all that seems not really ok to the skaters...

I'm gonna wait (in)patiently for this announcement while praying for justice for Liza. Her being out will be the only thing that will upset me about possible scenarios... I think Men's team stays the same, Lazukin didn't make strong enough case for himself.

I really feel stressed for Liza because I want her make the team so much... I really hope DT was just a fluke, just like her first challenger in September that wasn't the best and she will be brilliant here. I don't want Zhenya to fail but come on, Liza deserves this! Why is this even in question still? How many chances Zhenya had this season? She should focus on next season - she WILL get better, I believe she can compete with Eteri girls when she has more time (and maybe can up tech a little...). I know all figure skating world loves her but even if she skates well at one competiton in Russia, giving her a spot over Liza? Also Stanislava is always skating good at domestic comps so maybe she will somehow get it again I also hope Alina is finally ok, I don't think there's any talk of her not going, so... Also maybe Dima can have a strong skates and fight for a spot...? That's even less likely than any scenario in ladies, but I can dream...

Eteri's girls have a big point difference, and all of them won a big event this year - there's no way they don't send them all because of "they can't all be from the same club" nonsense, right?
