I think he was just trying to protect Nathan's dignity by being vague. I know Nathan's performance and scores draw a lot of controversy, but he's still so young and I don't think he deserves to be ripped apart. It's the system and the politics between federations that's the issue.

I want to see Yuzu's face when/if he hears about this

Aw man, just found out IdF doesn't do practice viewings Whyyyyyyy

I was wondering where GPF would be held next year! When did they announce France? My priorities are so out of whack right now. I'm actually thinking of going to France right after my exams if Yuzu is doing IdF, then Japan for my first medical elective (and to try my luck at Nationals), then Scotland for my second medical elective and then LA for 4CC. What have you done to me zuzu...
-
Ooh, what are you thinking of at the moment? GPF? Worlds? NHK (if he goes)? I think I'm personally going to prioritise comps this season. I'm sure there will be plenty of Yuzu ice shows in the years to come, like Mao.

Ugh... Only Yuzu can make me feel this type of way about a program set to classical music
-
If he did a photoshoot in his SEIMEI costume on a bedazzled throne, I would probably faint Seriously though, how can we make it happen? Maybe I need to run off and make some fan art...

I love his signature... It's so pretty

According to the blurb, the parade will go on for 40 minutes! I hope Yuzu's arms will be okay from all the waving

What I really appreciate about skating is that it seems like there's no age limit for starting or even getting back into it! And I've heard it can be quite surprising to see how far you can go in terms of progress. Makes me really excited to see what I'm physically capable of You should totally get back into it! If it makes you happy, why not?

Guys, I've got a fun idea! How about someone proposes a theme or song for potential future programs, and we can try designing a Yuzu costume to match it? We could use photoshop or photo collages or hand draw. What do you guys think? It'll be a fun creative activity until next season rolls around

Still in the process of learning! I'm naturally very competitive so when I first saw Yuzu skate and spin and jump, I had the burning desire to learn
-
Yeah...it was kind of uncomfortable to watch and frankly cringey

If it's from the Federation, then it sounds pretty legit I know Yuzu makes a lot of his decisions but the JSF also has a lot of power over him as Brian has hinted in the past. Speaking of assignments, when do we typically hear what GP comps each skater is doing? Is it June/July or quite late?

Where did this rumour that Yuzu is going to IdF come from?
-
Oh gosh, is that Yuzu imitating people skating for the first time off the wall at 0.14? That was literally me like 2 weeks ago

The Chopin step sequence is just so eye-catching. I love Yuzu's jumps but his choreography is my favourite

I have no clue sorry! But I do recall seeing another video a few pages back where Kohei was asked to comment on Yuzu. So they've asked him at least twice. Whenever I see Rafael I'm always reminded of that slightly awkward encounter at 4CC where he got Yuzu's autograph.
-
Sorry for the double post guys! Kohei said he has nothing else to say about Yuzu. Just the single word 'amazing'.

Well the tweet itself says they were talking about how Shimizu started wearing glasses at the Olympics, and how the glasses don't suit him. Then Yuzu came up in the conversation. Shimizu says Yuzu didn't recognise him at the Olympics. He hasn't really met him before. When he met him at the Olympics, Shimizu thought 'it'll be bad if Hanyu-kun doesn' t recognise me' so he took off his glasses because he wanted Yuzu to recognise him. But Yuzu still didn't recognise him lol. And then at the end, the guy in the bowl cut says 'did you want him to recognize you or did you just want to look cool'? I don't really get it either. I think it would make more sense if we knew the context.

I feel like kids are like that though, like a more intense and demanding version of their adult selves. They don't see any limits or boundaries, and anything seems achievable. Heck, kid me was like that too- I had very big expectations for my adult self But obviously, considering how intense adult yuzu is, kid yuzu was definitely a force to be reckoned with

I was surprised to hear he was back on the ice so soon as well. I'm hoping it's a good sign that his ankle is healing, and not that he's pushing himself too much. All of this recent talk about Yuzu's future has really lifted my spirits! I was scared that the 2019 Saitama Worlds would be his last comp, but now I feel rest assured that Yuzu isn't going anywhere. The Matsuoka interview is yet another time that Yuzu has spoken about what he has thrown away to pursue his skating dream. I wonder what sorts of things he's talking about. Obviously a big one is living together with his entire family. But I wonder what other dreams he has thrown away, because if I'm not mistaken, in other interviews I've seen, he's been quite adamant that his mind is focused on skating exclusively (along with earphones and gaming of course). For example, Nathan Chen has expressed interest in studying medicine. Maybe Yuzu has other dreams too but he's just never made them public?

Soooo...where can I sign up to be a flower girl?

What a lovely interview The clips of Yuzu doing jumps with no music and only the sound of his blades hitting the ice were so satisfying to watch I also find it hilarious that Brian saw teenage Yuzu as a complete wild child
