Sota was in 6th place after SP. Yes, it was amazing, what's also important is he won by landing that 3A that hurt his career for many yrs. Hope this victory can delight him and get him more chance w GP assignmentsSota Yamamoto just won Gold at CS Asian Open. CONGRATULATIONS!!! While Mitsuki Sumoto took 4th place. Their SP & FS:i like satoko's FSHow gorgeous...huhm let's think in a positive way about Shoma's program. I watched the FS and imagined what if he skates to Meditation C'mon, at least it didn't happen! (or haven't? Meditation is still unchecked in his warhorse box )H&L PCs were so lowballed I can never stop feeling soooo much regret w that. Look at these facts to see how unfair it got w the PCs: Fun fact 1: No one else (at least top 6 men) EVER got lower PCs when their personal best TES improves (GPF15->Worlds 2017) Fun fact 2: Look at Patrick, his FS only got over 200 ONCE thru out his career (only ISU comps count), and just 203+, yet its PCs was even higher than H&L Max ofc knows well Yuzu's often lowballed before guessing. But H&L was even lowballed more than expectation, hence he got it wrongLmao my instant thought when I watched his FS is "He skates exactly like I expected"=))) I expected better presentation from Marin and Satoko, esp with that kind of music. They need more power going into each element, but so far it's kinda flat.All the SPs I saw so far are boring, pls Yuzuuuu save meeee I hope it's becuz of bad angle and low quality videos. Other modifications look so outdated and cheesyThe scoring is soooo wild lmaooo. With wider range its just more messy, as expected. Adapting to new scoring means judge have to completely change their usual sense of +2, +3 jumps that they're used to for so many yr, in just 1-2 months. Putting bias aside, its alr extremely hard to have some common ground. Its like asking skaters to change their jumping technique in couple of months lol. We overestimated judge ppl.
