Isnt marin the only jr world champion among current jpn ladies? (The only jpn champion in 8 yrs til now where jr worlds are all dominated by russian ladies). Thats quite smt phenomenal so i understand why attention and expectation is heaped on her, being the next Mao or smt. Marin got the hype hence all her siblings (who r skaters too) go up w it. Media attention also depends how much actively u take on public activity (i mean Mao doesnt need to be a perfect beauty to be a super public figure). As Marin underperformed and hide away from media from now on, the attention for her and the sisters def would go down (until she's going back to her prime at least).

I love one girl named Alena Kostornaia:)). I was impressed w her skating from 1st time watching, which never happened w anyone since Yuna. Her mature artistry is just that captivating (wow srsly, she's younger than alina? Omg). I hope she can survive puberty and keep delivering in senior.
