  1. Or this Yes, at the World 2019 gala, along with a 4A.
  2. Well, they found Yuzuru's weakness: his noodly arms and relaxed posture. The power of the US fed isn't surprising, considering the power of the nation itself. Even if figure skating isn't as popular in the US as in other countries, the highly visible Winter Olympics still serve as motivation for powerful figures to influence the sport in the favor of the US. It might be time for TCC to hold the aesthetically pleasing movement class where students learn to copy the transitional arm movement and body posture of top US skaters
  3. If he did these "costumes" Satomi Ito is a brilliant and detailed designer! Notte stellata is so beautiful!!!

    Music talk

Tokyo Ghoul soundtrack is pretty good
  5. Then it would be someone who knows him personally to post his fs music before it was announced ?
  6. there’s a yyskater on twitter and Instagram too
  7. Not just his face, but his entire body has anime proportions. Perhaps it is because anime will often draw the ideal proportions, since he also has the "perfect" proportions for jumps. I am a manga otaku and a big fan of Tokyo Ghoul. Sometimes years ago, I watched Daisuke Takahashi's FS and found the waking and tripping movement in the beginning of his program very cute. Never did I imagine, male skating could be so delicate, soft, playful, and artistic. Looking for other Japanese skaters, I stumbled upon Yuzuru Hanyu 2012 World FS. He floated, motored, and flew across the ice, with the proportions and passion of an anime hero. Then, after his performance, acts cute. How could I not fall in love? Like some other fans say, Yuzuru is actually very masculine, but is unafraid of showing traditionally feminine behavior. To me, that makes him even more courageous and strong or "manly", than traditionally handsome men. Yuzuru is of course greater than an anime hero and there is no need for one based off his life story when we see it in real life.
  8. Ishida-Sensei has been thinking about drawing Hanyu-kun for a while !
  9. yuzu tea is also sold at japanese starbucks
  10. It’s quite possible with politics. That why Yuzu needs the 4Lz imo. The more Yuzu’s tech content matches Nathan, the less the judging panel can fudge the score in Nathan’s favor.
  11. Actually, he most likely saw the colors of the stadium at the 2017 Four Continents.

  14. Ah, so it's his shoulders! I just tried straightening my arm in a similar position to the one needed for Biellmann. There is no stress with bent arms, but straightening the arms is hard on the shoulders. Looking at it now, it is pretty noticeable his body is very flexible except for the shoulders when he was young. Less shoulder flexibility actually gives off the impression of broad powerful "masculine" shoulders, while the flexibility in the rest of his body gives off a delicate impression. Yuzuru movements naturally look like a mix of yin and yang! Would holding his leg be easier for Yuzu then? Perhaps it would be easier to hold his leg, instead of boot then?
  15. I think he did improve leg extension though. Yuzuru' Beillmann does look very passionate and dramatic. I was just wondering whether it looks the way it does because of personal preference or other factors.
  16. He's the "United" States Quad King.
  17. Is the reason yuzuru`s biellmann looks the way it because he treats it like an upright donut? https://78.media.tumblr.com/f0bab82c4af5f1a2f969cfb3de32d8ac/tumblr_n7m39drLjj1tv8i85o3_1280.gif He`s actually improved through the years https://pm1.narvii.com/6430/de23d8f272b33aace5908d688ac9c7e3b2e52d50_hq.jpg Could he actually improve his Beillmann with more extension in the arm and leg or would flexibility be an issue?
  18. Andrew Torgashev skated to Parisian Walkways and Le temps des cathédrales.
  19. Is this the right place for this? What will be the most popular place to watch Olympic Figure Skating in Tokyo?
  20. Key Animator for episode 11 and 12 of Yuri on Ice!!! as well! edit again: oh and he does the figure skating animation.
  21. There is no telling how well other skaters will perform or how the judges will give out points, so it is smart for him to up tech content as much as possible, while he still can, to increase chances of victory. He continues to be a gold medal contender because he constantly pushes. Realistically, within Yuzuru's career, even if 4A and quints are landed, it is doubtful many skaters will land them consistently. I am going on how the sport has progressed, especially in the ladies. A full set of quads is plenty to remain competitive in the foreseeable future.
  22. this may sound mean, but I hope Shoma doesn't win the olympics or replace Yuzuru as top skater because, it would be sad to see a skater with jump technique like Shoma represent the sport. In the Yuzuru general thread, fans talked about how it is not likely the Olympic competition rink can be rented, so it will at least be fair in that regard. Edit: sorry there is much I want to post, but it is criticism of shoma and exceptions I make for skaters like zhenya because of , in her case, transitions.
