I don't remember if it was Sochi, but Brian definitely did that for some competition. I mean... I don't think registering as Yuzu's coach means Briand can only be there when Yuzu is there. Coaches might come earlier to check out stuff, figure out paperwork, or later to sort out appearances and media stuff, right? Accreditation for coaches probably means they'll be there from the day practice for the discipline starts. Especially if the participants for team event don't have to be announced till really late.

I honestly think the registering of coaches with each athlete is a case of mixing and matching so they could all get the accreditations without running out of delegation slots or whatever. I doubt they sat and worried about whose name should go on which form in triplicate. We're probably reading too much into this.

Am I? And yet, time is simply an inadequate human attempt to understand the mysteries of the universe. It means nothing when you need to feed the beast. But it's morning coffee time for me generally (when things start at ten there, and then there's waiting for his group), and that means I'll probably just stay up worrying all night, so... Medicinal, I tell you. Oh God of Hangovers is going to have to take a few hits for me.

Ouch. Don't worry, I'll have some for you. Normal rules do not apply during once-in-four-years emergencies.

Equal portions Baileys and chocolate ice cream. What, I said nothing. Just the wind.

I'll be watching/following everything in real time, but the anxiety of waiting might mean that I go through the nice alcohol cabinet I've been building for the last couple of months before the programmes even start. On the bright side, I'm apparently an entertaining happy drunk, so if Yuzu does it, it'll be a real party.

*hyperventilates* Not. Ready.

Bless you, you said last year's injury. It's last year's. That makes me irrationally happy and totally emo!

I'll be building a fort in my living room for the Olympics. My fort will have a maxi-bar because a minibar isn't going to cut it.

I wasn't going to spill the anxiety over here but I can't get rid of it, so... I had a dream that Yuzu landed a 4A-4T in competition and then he re***ed. So. Join me in my feverish dreams/nightmares. ETA: Just occurred to me that the only other fandom that makes so many videos of their fave's jump takeoffs, entries, exits and so on that I know if is Yuna's. I think it says something about our confidence in Yuzu's technique!

Priorities.

Wow, you must be really flexible! And if I ever got on ice and got into that position - never gonna happen, but anyway - letting go would probably create the equal and opposite reaction of me landing on my face after shooting forward a few feet. It's amazing how flexible skaters are. And how toned. Even the ones considered lazy-ish in skating terms would be so hardworking and dedicated by my standards!

Though that Javi clip.

Oh man, I laughed about the perfect and ideal system with no air or ice friction could make the data work. Yep, that is exactly how research should be done - pick numbers and then figure out what conditions you can find to make the numbers make sense! That is exactly how you get your name and work and department discredited. I mean, disregard gravity along with friction, why don't you, then. Now I am imagining Yuzu jumping in reduced gravity, that would be so strange.

My everything hurts just from looking at that. Goodness, the strength and flexibility on practically all joints you'd need for that!
-
Wow, the difference in their loop takeoffs - it is so obvious! Just look at the angle of their skates the moment they leave the ice.

Don't even talk about quints, I worry enough about long-term impact of quads on their joints! All of them, but especially Yuzu.

I'm collaterally really damaged. Willingly, though. The greater good. The second Olympic cause. Worth it.

He's such a cinnamon roll munchkin, so much squisshhhh!

I really hope he'll be happy after the Olys performances! I want to see happy triumphant Yuzu at the K&C.
-
He probably has his special list of 'true and worthy' gold medals. I hope he at least makes allowances for himself sometimes. Like Helsinki, I hope he decided to let go of the SP because the FS was perfect and so deserving of the true and worthy gold medal.
-
Maybe... Or maybe he means that he wants to be sure that he deserved the win because he performed to his very, very VERY lofty standards. Yuzu outdoes us all when it comes to being salty, but he's salty about his own performances being less than perfect.

Totally not your fault but scared the bejeezus out of me too.
