  1. Yea, that's what I thought too. I was just going off the radar.
  2. Maybe Yuna will come out as a surprise, make everyone squeal, and say it. No? Too hopeful?
  3. Some people in those comments ruined my mood and need to gtfo, some other balanced it out. I'm glad the writer noticed this too:
  4. Seems kind of weird to backtrack. But if Nathan really does have a virus, maybe they quietly pulled him out instead. In that case I wish him well. Haha so Yuzu IS last afterall. After all the hoopla, of course the alien is acknowledged. Is it weird that the two other men on the podium go before Ge and Jin?
  5. You know, WHAT IF Nathan had a clean SP. Let's just forget about WHAT IF Yuzu had a clean FS.
  6. Or a group of people/skaters and friends loitering in the vicinity and he just happened to walk through them like a boss. Anything's possible. It's so vague.
  7. Okay, I learned from this clip that there was an official Facebook page for the PM's office and they congratulated Hanyu (as well as other medalists). Squeamish about linking an actual government page, so if you want to check it out, it's: https://www(dot)facebook(dot)com/sourikantei/ The video phone call between Hanyu and Abe is also on the page.
  8. Don't know if this is the place to put it, but since this is a place for score discussions: I know it's been talked about the Chinese judge getting some flack for his scores for Boyang, but even Japanese tv is talking about it and I'm so mad for Boyang because he doesn't deserve his scores getting scrutinized like that, and yet the USA judge and Nathan/Vincent's scores are not? Always, they go for the poor; the poor gets poorer while the rich gets richer.
  9. Anyone find it ironic that supposedly after Yuna won Vancouver Brian talked about trying the 3A, but here Yuzu is the one who brings up the 4A? Of course, 3A isn't the mythical creature that the 4A is, but Yuzu definitely one-upped Brian there.
  10. With a Team Event at Olys and many medal winners because of that, isn't it weird that top 4 of individuals gets an invite to gala but every skater in a top team doesn't? Kind of shows how much more of a thing the individual competitions are.
  11. It's kind of sad that GOE doesn't always represent quality. Shame on the judges.
  12. I feel like an awful person for saying this because I'm not even watching the Ladies SP, but I wonder if right now he's watching from the arena (or tv) and if he has a seat and a camera will catch him (like they did in Sochi during Mao). If I had time I'd watch Ladies just for that one second of him probably cheering for Satoko and Kaori.
  13. From the same youtuber as before. Some comments about Yuzu from Korean people (that's what Google translate says) for the curious, although idk what they're saying.
  14. Even without a public SNS Yuzu is most likely a lurker on the internet. As a lurker too, I assure you he has more than a few antis. But that also means if Yuzu knew enough English he probably also lurked here and saw all of our love for him!
  15. I realized, the only two skaters I'm okay with beating Yuzu is a (clean) Javi and maybe a (clean) Patrick. With both of them retired and/or no longer skating at competitions with Yuzu, with whom will Yuzu fulfill his silver quota? It's an omen for Yuzu to pull a gold streak.
  16. Would be fictional but they could actually make a series with a pinch of romance by adding a one-sided crush from a fan-skater who adores Yuzu and is inspired by him. It wouldn't necessarily change the way he acts, his decisions, and personality as he always gracious to boys and girls. It doesn't end up being reciprocated in the end, but I feel like I've seen plenty of those stories.
  17. The Kikuchi part is joking, but I bet Yuzu does watch his competition (as he has revealed many times through observations). Didn't he give some credit to the other skater who did 4lo and wasn't downgraded, yet Yuzu's was the one ratified?
  18. I noticed. And because of you guys I read both of them. The people who corrected the casual once every 4 year viewer that it was normal in figure skating are such party poopers lol, like "what wholesomeness, its standard". Lol well I guess fair is fair. They'll find out anyway during the ladies podium.
  19. Praise is praise. Maybe I'll continue to check it out after all. But this is giving me second thoughts of going back.
  20. I clicked into it, read a bit, and clicked back out. As a lurker, I don't usually give up that quickly.
  21. Now I'm more surprised than ever that Yuzu is still there. I would think Shoma being the silver medalist and coming from a prominent skating community would have as much press and obligations as Yuzu. But I guess he went there to PC earlier than Yuzu anyway. I just thought most Japanese athletes would return at the same time.
  22. I hope someone saves and shares the clip. I saw a timer that was ticking down my access to it, saw it was a 40+ min video, and immediately exited the site. (I only had 2 min left.)
  23. Okay, bringing this back from the deep end because I believe the news covered the friend in this clip?
  24. Although a Worlds without him is sad, well, the downplaying of Hanyu and the hype of the quadsters continue even though he just won Olys. Hanyu is content right now and I'm looking for it to last longer as well as his smile. I'm not ready to throw him into the fire and media play and bashing by biased commentators/media so their faves get a foothold at Worlds just yet. I know he cites 4A as a motivation, but does his state remind people of Yuna after Vancouver? Just curious.
