I always thought the April date was because he had Worlds. If he doesn't do Worlds and announces it sooner, wonder if they'll do it sooner this year, hm... Maybe not until the season ends anyway, well.

I wonder if one of the reason he's not going to Japan yet is that he has media obligations. He does so much press in PC alone, and then a lot of athletes return on the same day to more press and press conferences as a group and also individually. Just remembering Sochi when he went straight from the airport to do that stuff.

OMG I've been thinking about this for some time. Thought that with him being injured I'd still pay to hear him commentate, but realized it may be impossible for competitions with him not retired but ice shows is another thing. Tbh more than with Shoma though (even though I think they're cute, it's so one-sided so) I'm looking forward to see Yuzu with Nobu again. Yuzu teasing Nobu as MC would be a blast. He'd probably be as doh-S as that MC who told him to use English during the periscope press.

Not news but going along with the K-netizen bashing thing, always there are bad but also good people out there so here's a vid I found of some KOR guys reaction to Yuzu. Don't speak Korean but seems pretty positive? I heard both were offered CMs. If Yuzu takes some offers I would love for them to get creative (not the xwhite crazy but like dressing him up in a samurai costume and sending him back to medieval times, I don't think its impossible with Japan being Japan). It'll be cool that this time Yuzu won't have to be in the limelight alone so if he does do ice shows maybe Yuzu and Shoma can do some crazy poses like Yuzu and Dai.

I just went to a Olys post on a site that usually translate into English some k-idol posts from pann. Supposedly the translators couldn't get any good Yuzu posts because some salty knetizens were doing the usual screen-shotting Yuzu pictures and making up attitude lies and bashing him. It's sad but a futile effort to speak to haters and antis especially when nationalism is involved. Reporting on official posts is probably the only option. Human beings will be human beings.

Apparently he hugged Nathan too, and NBC(?) shared the clip and I can't believe I didn't save it! And I tried looking for it and I can't even find it anymore. I'm sure he hugged Shoma too. Would have been nice, to have all of that lined up - Yuzu's hugs with Nathan, Javi, Boyang, and Shoma. Total player sportsmanship.

I can't believe the amount of press that Yuzu and Shoma are doing. I can't keep up with it. So I saw this on tumblr and I can never get enough of Yuzu's interactions with everybody. AND I NEED to see Yuzu's reactions to watching tv/media coverage about him. (Like, his documentary for instance. No wonder he said that thing about the media. He must know when they get something wrong, or twist something wrong.) Getting a clip of the feature may be impossible, but really I'd love to see it. Very glad that South America actually cared enough to cover a bit of it.

Sharing some reactions from some casual viewers (ie my family). They don't know much about FS. The only time I've spoken with them about Hanyu, it's about "my skater dude" because they can't remember his name and I only talk about (more like bemoan) his unfortunate circumstances (his injuries). As well, we watched the men's final group separately (and I didn't even force any of them to watch!) - two of my sisters on the big TV, a third sister with her husband at their house, and myself in my room streaming. So they had no explanations or "biased" interference from me. They all thought Hanyu's skating was above everyone else and he was the rightful winner. The third sister's husband thought Hanyu was elegant and beautiful, and also a level above the field. The third sister love Hanyu's hydroblade (and I think I've successfully converted her into a casual Fanyu since after that she started researching him on her own.) They knew nothing about jumps, but were put off by Shoma's jumps/landings and thought he should have scored below Javi. They loved Hanyu's jumps. Anyway, they're still indifferent about figure skating but I was happy with the Hanyu praise.

I'm happy that no one's mocking him over it, and Poohvanlanche is part of Yuzu's legacy that shows the love of Yuzu's fans towards him - though it'd be nice if they could focus on just Yuzu's legacy itself.

I wouldn't be surprised if Kodaira Nao gets the spot over him because of seniority and her gold medal, and wasn't she announced to be Team Japan leader previously?

Ok, I just freaking realized although someone already pointed it out that Shoma's brother was in the crowd during the medal ceremony asfsdfsd. HE HAD FAMILY IN PC. Is Shoma staying at the Olys village or in a hotel with his family? I'm not curious, really, it just leads me to think OMG I wonder if Yuzu has his family too with him in PC and if he's spoken with his parents after getting his second medal.

I read somewhere, someone talked about the age gap of the podium. Javi - 3 - Yuzu - 3 - Shoma. So basically this Olys Men's FS podium represented 3 generations y'all. "Uncle" Javi, lonely prodigious Yuzu, and a "quadster" Shoma. WOW. Another reason why it's a great podium.

I hope he does. As much as I love the bromance between Yuzu and the boys, I love his senpai attitude with Satoko (and Mai ) and the rest of the ladies too. Plus, when he complimented Satoko on her TE short. (Need my Team Japan feels.)
