  1. D'awww. I really miss everything about him.
  2. Maybe not at the live show, but I'd be okay even if someone just recorded the screen from a cinema where it is streamed lol. Or at least get the sound recorded by throwing a phone under the chair so we can hear the discussion and his voice! Being a Yuzu fan makes me wish I was so many things. A ninja so I could sneak into Fuji TV's basement to steal unreleased ice show footage. The best hacker ever so I could hack into the stream that's streaming to the cinemas his live talk show. A young boy holding an upside-down Yuzuru banner.
  3. There's usually a host who guides the talkshow. If there is one, Matsuoka please! So Yuzu can be passionate and kuyashi with him. Or Nobu even though he's sometimes awkward so Yuzu can shade or tease/bully him sometimes. Anyway~ seems like it's time to petition a production crew to get the rights to film these talk shows and put it in a dvd, lol. I'd pay big money for that!
  4. Didn't get a chance to read it yet, but seeing this Oof! That went straight to the gut. Despite Yuzu doing everything under his control right, the intensity of Yuzu and his focus for the OGM can potentially come crashing down after the Olympics if he doesn't actually get the gold medal. *knock on wood* I'm all in for Yuzu, but for self-protection I also want to prepare for the worst, but thinking about the what-if's makes me feel like a bad fan for thinking the unthinkable. I read a recent article that said the low temperature for the Opening is supposed to be the coldest opening ceremony ever if it keeps to weather forecast. Also that they held a concert at the stadium and 6 people had hypothermia at the concert. Even with the heating pads and additional stuff to be handed out at the Opening, this so not safe for athletes and the audience especially for the ones who will be just sitting there for an hour+ in the cold. Not just Hanyu, but a few people should skip it if its possible.
  5. Okay, trigger warning at 1:34 - 1:57. It's just pictures, but it caught me by surprise and they focused on those heartbreaking pictures for so freaking long! I didn't expect my heart to be ripped out yet again with it having happened months ago and Olympics so close, but I guess it was.
  6. They chose a very good megane-Yuzu for the newspaper. Okay, but despite Yuzu's Parisienne Walkways being a favorite of mine, I just cannot when they use it as background music. It just sounds so greasy.
  7. About Plushenko showing his students Yuzu's jump technique, it's not only that it makes me proud of Yuzu, but I like Yuzu's jumps and how technically sound it is and I applaud Plushenko for trying to teach his students clean and beautiful jumps. As much as I respect or like some other skaters, well, sometimes I don't agree with GOEs. Supposedly Yuzu learned his techniques from his coaches in Japan (though I'm sure TCC helped some) so there are good jump coaches there, but it'd be cool if even though Yuzu might not currently want to be a coach after he retires to maybe do some special classes or training to pass his knowledge and techniques during his competitive phase on. Of course though body types means everything so what works for him might not work for everybody.
  8. Thank you! Didn't realize what this poll was about, but now that I do --> ROFL Although it's "YAASS Hanyu won a poll again!", it's also kind of scary when you think about the reason. Also, I was ??? at the cartoon drawings, took me forever to realize it's the JE no pictures rule and 3 Arashi made top 10. My relevant jpop kings. Aw, but Nino and Aiba almost made it!
  9. Love the new banner. Love the color scheme with the white background that makes it stand out even more. And of course gorgeous Yuzu is gorgeous. Yuzu has the aura and presence of a king, I swear. Totally unexpected if you didn't follow him, but even as a fan I never quite get over it. Edit: default avatar, yea!
  10. I watched the whole thing. I think they tried to make up for it by having only Yuzu skating clips to represent figure skating, unless I missed something. At the same time I'm glad they're not forcing Yuzu to participate in promos, it is kind of sad. Eta: wait I see Mao too. Maybe because they used clips from Sochi which not sure why they did unless to keep to Olys theme, but well for figure skating not many of the people going PC are the same so idgi. But nice to see Yuzu's fist bump.
  11. I know there was controversy the first time but this is really cute. All I gotta say is . Oh wait that wasn't a word. I have no words.
  12. Curves! I've always wondered why I find Nathan awkward looking even when I like his costumes and he has good enough proportions. Finally, I understand why. Sometimes his costumes makes his torso look boxy because he doesn't have such a slim waist or broad shoulders to offset it like what I'm used to in Yuzu and Javi. It definitely makes such a difference in their costumes and what I personally find aesthetically pleasing. I never thought I would prefer curves on a guy but wow I do. But this may also just mean I don't like the cut of some of Nathan's costumes.
  13. Thank you! Clarification was definitely necessary. Though that outburst came because of a mix of different stuff. Just not good. It's so important because a lot of people not only native speakers use English to pass information and wrong translations can go far and cause damage.
  14. Asked whether #YuzuruHanyu should take ballet lessons as he is somewhat inferior to #NathanChen and #TatsukiMachida who took ballet lessons Didn't read the article but, This better be translated poorly or I'm going to knock whoever asked this question stating it AS IF it was a fact, as if it was the truth. Posture, sure maybe, but it's almost as if they implied it's about the forever subjective "artistry" and PUH-LEAZE as if Yuzu is inferior to either of them on that. Once again ballet does not equal artistry no matter what ubers and the US PR machine thinks, and I'm so tired of the thinking that Nathan's programs being much more appealing this year and new suddenly makes him the epitome of the gold-medal deserving skater who is pushing the envelope with artistry and quads. Okay, okay, calming down - damn, Yuzu being absent and the hits are coming everywhere. Imagine if he was actually uninjured and roaring going into Olys. Edit: I feel so bad for Machida. He only was noticed after Sochi and he retired soon after anyway. Now people are bringing him up (to crap on the "artistry" of current amateur skaters) but where was the love when he was competing!?
  15. The saga of the white t-shirt lives on.
  16. Even if he doesn't skate the team event he'll probably have to sit in the Japan team area anyway, I think. Although maybe not for all the events? Daisuke didn't do the team in Sochi and I think he sat for the men's FS. Well, idk.
  17. Just a few weeks away! I'm fine with fans speculating and wondering and thinking of all the different scenarios and outcomes. Surely beats myself stressing all alone and leaving it to stew in my mind to drive myself crazy. It helps that I'm more than a bit amused knowing that his competitors and the teams and the media who have stakes in this might be more stressed about Yuzu's blackout than us.
  18. I'm just worried that if he does decide to do team event the time zone might not do him good if he goes to korea from toronto late.
  19. Doesn't this mean then that both Yuzu and Shoma could potentially go to practices and get a feel for the ice?
  20. Nothing really new that we already didn't know about Yuzu, but still I love to hear about how much of himself Yuzu puts into his programs and to know again that while he trusts his choreographers, he will assert his opinions as well. Some skaters just let their coaches decide, some take part in the creation of the programs, and some may even choreograph (or sing) the program. The latter may not be Yuzu's thing, so I'm glad to see Yuzu's essence as a skater through the touches he puts in his own programs. A few fans have already said that sometimes Yuzu does a few moves in practice that he leaves out of the programs while he's competing. I think Shae-lynn also gave an interview after GPF 2015 that Yuzu still has more to give in Seimei, and I'm sure she knows more than anyone how much better it could be. I'm looking forward to Yuzu elevating it and proving some people wrong about Seimei already being skated to perfection and him not needing to bring it back.
  21. Dear lord, he is so expressive. Not that we already didn't know that he's a meme lord, but my goodness people said Hanyu walked out of a manga and looks, personality, drive, backstory and even REACTIONS are all so right on the mark. Gawd, I adore him so much.
  22. @ the 53sec of this video, Hanyu receives a bouquet for finishing up a CM filming, I think. Does anyone know where this is from or have link to the video? https://www.bilibili.com/video/av9045217/
  23. Oh, that's sad. Is men's the only sold out games at Olys? What about other sports outside FS? But ISU seems to not really know wtf is wrong with the way they're doing things. Like supposedly they recently took down a YT video of Yuzu's skate from worlds with 800k views. Warning - Rant time: I still remember people being douches about Yuzu fans taking up seating for ACI and then Skate Canada without Yuzu being so empty. And people saying the sport doesn't need that type of fans, but puh-lease the sport is alive because of all fans but especially the ones who will travel around the world to watch skating.
  24. I think it helps that he builds his programs based on the music. Not only his jumps, but his spins and biellmanns are sometimes when the music reaches a pinnacle or tied to the music, to the point I get excited and chills through just watching his emotive spins.
