Ah, I thought this was the pooh of the girl next to the man?
-
Gosh, why do I find even the smallest things he do so cute.
-
Japan's ace. I like the sound of that.
-
I love seeing how fired up he is, how he seems to have a slight hidden smile even when he's just walking, or how he's smiling, and how much energy there is in his voice and steps! The last time we saw him moving was in crutches speaking in a subdued voice. Hopefully, never again!
-
YAASSSS His voice!
-
Okay, seeing front view like this with his arm almost straightened out, YUP the sleeves of the blazer is too short. Idgi - why? Couldn't they have just asked the designer who makes his costumes?
-
He's not carrying or pushing any luggage. I wonder who was in charge of getting his things. It's probably a precaution so he isn't weighed down by anything to be able to walk fast with the bodyguards past the crowd.
-
Now that I know the picture is new, I can't stop staring at it.
-
I didn't think of that! Oh no!
-
If this is new, then he looks so damn freaking good! Didn't think I'd like long hair on Yuzu, but dayums it's fine as long as it doesn't look mushroomy. Belated, but I noticed the veins on that arm. Boy is fit asf.

Going round in circles and back to sharing rooms at the Olys Village speculation: I actually wonder if Hanyu will share with anyone? Shoma and Keiji are chummy and are even numbers. Same as the Japanese girls, and girls for dance and pairs, and guys for dance and pairs. Yea, it evens out with Hanyu as yet another anomaly. I think the team numbers for men and women this year were the same for Sochi. Perhaps Dai got a room to himself before Machida moved in and this round Hanyu might get a room to himself since he's going late as well, unless they have athletes from mixed sports sharing.

I actually think the US PR machine is throwing out so much rainbows for Nathan because his skating or character off ice itself isn't riveting enough for the domestic US audience. He's not the next Michelle Kwan. The pressure is more from the media itself and US Fed. Outside the FS niche where the real bubble is, casual people might care more about Adam (even if the FS ubers raged about his non-quads and scraping onto the team) because he has a bit more pizazz and a backstory with the first American male skater out of the closet bit. He's also a bit more, well, trendy because of it. So what I'm saying is Nathan winning OGM still won't make the domestic audience care about FS after the Olys are over. Adam is where the real public interest is, unfortunately, because of sensationalism.

Yes. Compromise. What you have down would be a better situation than now for many, imo. Too bad athletes don't matter. For Americans, the men's event is over by Friday night, I think. But at least I get the weekend to mope and recover or cheer and party. Honestly, no matter what I'll be home for four consecutive nights because of feelings.
-
Not sure if this has been shared: http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/4289489 They could have chosen a better picture tbh. What's with all this LGC love afterwards? He really needs to bring it during the Olys gala, I say. Also, been kind of sweet seeing Hanyu highlighted for the Olys in English-language sites, and wondering how I could keep the memory. Now not only am I downloading Hanyu-centric programs and saving pictures, I'm saving these articles as PDFs as well. Someone help me! But as someone who missed an era of Hanyu and came across so many dead links, a fan's gotta do what a fan's gotta do.

With the growth of the Chinese economy, and them having billions of people, I'm hoping CCTV might have more money to throw at IOC for 2022 so. But will I still be interested in Figure Skating by the time that comes around though? We shall see.

Honestly, makes me feel better and hope this means something like scheduling changes for TE Beijing 2022. Is China (or the region Boyang and co are going to PC from) in the same time zone as KOR? I've seen people talking about it here, but when I literally saw an article about the sickness and flu spreading in PC, it seriously does seem like a better idea to just camp in a close country or city and fly in for each athlete's main event. Too bad Japan can't seem to provide that for their athletes.
-
It's not Valentine's Day yet. What's with all the sweetness! A-HEM! *Clears throat* I'm preparing my heart and hardening it for serious business Olys. This is not helping.
-
Me being a wet blanket: Do you think the current report that Yuzu is in good condition might upset people that Yuzu isn't taking part in TE? I don't necessarily mean the Yuzu fans. I think on GS someone even brought up Yuzu's decision affecting Shoma's chances for gold before it was announced Shoma would just do the TE SP. Well, enough of that. I think now is a good time to start lifting the media blackout too, despite my post earlier today. Once TE happens it might be too late to get any word out if the other men gains momentum. Now it's the perfect time for the Overlord's news to subtly creep into other competitors' ears and be the stuff of nightmares as word gets out that the King will be back to good form. Anyway, I have many feelings but at the core I just miss watching Yuzu skate happily and healthy.
-
I'm conflicted --> at this point I'd rather the blackout had continued and we didn't get any info at all until we saw Hanyu. Maybe I'm too used to the way of the ninja now. Nah, I just think after my initial freak out about him not doing Team Event no news at this point is good news because it means less speculation and what-ifs that can cause a blowout in media and fans. BUT! I've praised TCC and Orser this whole season for doing good with the media so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say it's all for the greater good, this leak. We'll see.

Since I'm containing my panic after the first outburst and have been going lalalalala-ing for some time (maybe I lost my sanity back there) Another unfunny meme #YoloOlympics #YoloKing Lol.What is Korean Media going to do? They'll have to pause the Yuzu ads.
-
(Sorry for spam) Me at some of the naysayers non-fans who rolled their eyes at Yuzu doing Seimei and Chopin again saying that they'd have to relive his programs a millions times this season + previous seasons: Me also when the casual viewers ask why the Team Event skaters are redoing their Team programs for the singles and Yuzu brings his "new" programs to the singles event and wows the crowd: Just something unfunny, but the irony is sad its funny. Also, day-um, the stock up of Poohs. What's bigger than a Poohavalanche?
-
I was surprised that they announced it early since I thought Japan might use it as an inside advantage, but perhaps it is because Yuzu will not be in PC early for practice that will make it obvious that he won't do TE anyway. Also us previously worrying about the Opening lol. He won't be there. Cue more people outside Yuzu fandom leaving Yuzu off the podium predictions.
-
True. Also adding I'm also always worried about the politics/judging of figure skating and many of the big guns will be at the team event where there will be a big push and pull, and Hanyu being out may not help if the wunderkids gets inflation that reflects to the individual event and he's out of the loop. This is because I think Hanyu's momentum and scoring from the TE in Sochi indirectly impacted and brought up the scoring of his more perfect skate in the single sp. Now I just have to relieve this panic with knowing that Javi who doesn't give a shizzle about the team event anyway (because obvious) is never bothered. *prays* Eta: @Floria Right, Adelina. Thank you for another logical reasoning.
-
PANICS omfg. omfg. I see more cons than pros. I see Kim Yuna in Sochi happening once some wunderkid gets the momentum from a brilliant Team Event. I worry about no competitions at all. *vomits* *while crying* I'm still all-in for you Yuzu. Go Yuzu!

Didn't you know? The 2015-2016 season the year before Nathan turned senior didn't happen. ISU and every male singles skaters were holding their breaths skating in circles waiting for a junior to turn senior and knock their bobble-heads off, and that's when ISU finally realized "oh shizzles" this boy might break our not-broken scoring one day so from 2016-2017 let's finally sit down and discuss rule changes because before this of course we never done it. Label: THIS IS SO NOT FANFICTION. You heard anything before this, it's #fakenews. Oh my, My is spilling.
