  1. Give Javi a ton of extra brownies if he didn't do a dragged out eyeroll, or flip the table over at the reporter. Are the people who ask these type of questions for real?
  2. Has anyone posted this yet? Coach Jason jump demo!
  3. ...did we just witness Coach Yuzu's first student? o_O
  4. Are any owned by NBC or comcast or warner bros or universal?
  5. I feel like this may get nasty if Nathan doesn't medal. People already are labeling Patrick a villain with his quads winning over Adam. This olys, the guys with experience seem to be handling the pressure better than expected. Patrick got his gold, and now he can contentedly focus on his individual event-for all we know he might go fully clean there. Yuzu has always handled media well-he seems to be more concentrated on his happiness and taking the media pressure as a compliment (a feat in itself). Boyang has next to none since he's non-existant in international media, and Shoma outright ignores media. Nate seems to be getting a concentrated dosage of it- this isn't good for the sport in USA.
  6. Don't worry, 5T is the -jump-that-shall-not-be-named.
  7. Wonder if there are gifs of his single salchow and loop jumps from today's practice. Just for um, research purposes. We have to compile the video list of "Hanyu sensei teaches you how to do single jumps." For posterity!
  8. Sounds like what he'd say, only less use of swear words, all done in Keigo. Now, will he reveal why he moved out to share rooms with Dai instead in Sochi?
  9. Someone needs to draw an angelZu and a TrollZu perched on his shoulder (or hanging above his head). Then he can be taking a glance at TrollZu each time he gives an evasive answer like "I want to see other people's layouts before I decide mine."
  10. We survived one day of flash flood, here we go for round 2. So nice of them to tell us the time, unlike the delay of the first flood.
  11. Count mine too? It would be indirectly caused by him- I might fold enough pooh shaped dumplings by accident that my family would kill me. You expected reading capacity (of the rules) to exist. PCs and judges is like this: imagine a group of 12 year old boys on a sugar high, left alone for a week in their own house with no adult supervision (though in this case the ISU/adults did hang up rules, just gave up and left for a vacation for a week).
  12. 1) He's confident but I don't think he's that cocky on his technical ability. If anything, I think he might be considered a tad cocky on how much he trusts his sheer force of will to just carry him through. Otherwise, I don't think his confidence is really "cocky" per se. 2) I don't know...haven't checked. But if he stops tugging at at his sleeves, he could totally try to pull the blazer sleeves shorter than shirts sleeves thing as a new fashion trend. Just saunter and sass it off.
  13. Late reply. I guess having an entire retinue of bodyguards is close enough to Gangnam style. But he needed a bit more freestyle, with the guards joining in for the full visual effect. He looks good, but definitely you can tell from his reaction when speaking to the press that he just got off a very long flight, and is not fully awake yet. Speaking of his blazer...is this something he had remaining from the last Olys? Though if he carries this on enough, maybe he can start a trend of "moe dress shirt sleeves" as part of a casual blazer ensemble.
  14. The reason for the delay?
  15. What if he does a flight to japan and transfers via japan first?
  16. Probably because it is one extravagance he can hide. How many people can successfully ID all the earphone brands he has without being a bit of an audiophile themselves?
  17. You know what, there are 2 flights to Incheon that arrive at roughly the same time. Imagine if one carried Javi, and one carried Yuzu, and the media doesn't know which carried which. So they ambush one entrance, roll out a red carpet, only to get Javi coming out with Tracy, strolling casually in Gangnam style. While plane no. 2 carrying Yuzu, arrives 10 mins early, and he sneaks out at the same time as Javi gets ambushed by the media.
  18. Let's see.... 1) It's really early in the Olys, and not even full on lunar new year's break yet, people are likely at work at 10 am? The numbers after Feb 14th might be more indicative, especially for ladies individual since that avoids the conflict with the official new year dates 2) Really early events, early enough that public transportation isn't running yet 3) Probably less public transportation options available than needed to ferry people around, to a venue that's possibly too far from its largest metropolitan area 4) Could it be that figure skating has reduced interest? Yuna may have popularized figure skating, but South Korea is still more known overall for speed skating *Beijing, please take notice of this public transportation issue. We expect you organizers to not bring national shame from incompetency on logistics, especially the public transportation issue.
  19. Ahem, the quad ladies are all packed up and ready to make their once every 4 years sojourn. There was some slight delay since a servant accidentally set off a firecracker in the middle of the courtyard that managed to go up before whizzing past the quarters of Lady 4Lutz, set one of Lady 4Salchow's bonsai on fire, duck through the skirts of maid 3T, before Prime Minister Pooh managed to quell it down with a well-thrown jar of honey. Then Empress 3A had to calm down PM Pooh with a new jar of honey, as he was very distraught. There were also some issues with lady 4Loop, since she strangely insisted on packing her bags by herself without the help of servants, and managed to get 3 boxes wrong, 4 sets of clothing folded incorrectly, with efficiency plummeting. But all has been corrected with Pooh's help, so they should be on their way to PC. =) Music to our ears. And from the looks of it, Yuzu is adjusting to having to get up earlier than usual to practice?
  20. True, but I think if we go that direction, this will get too big. T_T And it'll never finish.
  21. I think if possible, maybe for next season even, we could do a good banner that can be hung up at an event, and then given to team TCC so they could hang it in their offices. ACI, or any series B event or any GP event might give us a chance to run into them and hand a banner. Design wise, maybe we can have "Go Team TCC!" in the center, with outlines/cutout profiles of their main skaters (Yuzu, Javi, Tursynbaeva, Gabby, Cha) surrounding the center. I'm okay with other ideas, though slightly more inclined towards books or anything more handmade than a medal or trophy (mainly because I find the latter 2 too generic, and if not well done could be tacky?). If you guys need help, ping me. I've got Lunar New Year break coming up next week.
  22. I am following ANA on wechat...why didn't I notice this? o_O
  23. *scratches head* Does he normally give this type of facial expression when he skates and performs at competitions? I remember murderface more than "half sleepy eyed" face. Well...I guess our emperor is merciful because he didn't do the Aera cover expression at every competition. Else when the cameras zoom in on his face, a significant chunk of the world will die, and the camera will not pan out, because the cameraman is enslaved too.
  24. Considering what happened in the team men's SP event, I think Brian is winning the PR battle.
  25. Well we may never know. Also, who chose R&J 1.0? I don't remember. The thing is, the reason why he followed, is it more due to his personality or more due to his age? He wasn't even 18 yet when he moved to TCC. And he started choosing his own music etc in TCC (seimei) a bit before age 20. But yes for skating skills and stamina-both of which are probably aided by the dedicated facilities and the lack of media pressure at TCC.
