Ah, there were some fake bids then, the bid just got reset back to 59 Mil yen. Meh.
-
I like the fact we're all comparing this to the cost of real estate. Now Fanyus can also use this as reference to which city to settle down and buy a house in. =)
-
Extra matching Extra. No surprise. But seriously, reconstruction in that region costs a ton, and I think there's still nuclear decontamination issues too. So if all these bids are legit, then I'm all for it, they need the money really.

True, guess his feet could have grown. It's about 1.2 Mil USD, still only an 100 sq meters apartment in Beijing or Shanghai. Though if this becomes verified, this would be a really good amount for reconstruction efforts.

Comments say his shoe size are 26.5. Boy has delicate feet.

Could be any combination of the above. Nathan has the highest BV potential, but he also seems to be the least clean this season among them. Shoma is capable of beating Nathan, Boyang could score over 300 if he goes clean. Personally, I'd be highly amused if it goes Boyang-Shoma-Nathan. And you are also forgetting Vincent Zhou. =P

I'm with you on that too. My fear is whether or not there are bots just driving up price for the sake of testing/hacking/driving up prices. I was only using it to illustrate that there are people who could afford it, especially if they are wealthy fans, which I'm sure he has some of. I also think what you said is the more straight forward route, but I would not dismiss the idea of corporations or trusts or other groups bidding on it. Frankly, given the price right now, the logical conclusion is that a group/corporation is the one bidding these prices, assuming they are real, verified prices. Welcome to China! For reference, in my city (second tier), housing prices are around 3k USD per square meter, and more people buy real estate as investment than to live in it. Hence I joke that investment in his boots at a point might be as sane as investment in real estate, possibly even cost less, less upkeep, and recuperate more costs in the long term if you lend it out to museums etc. Plus, once you get charity involved, people are possibly more willing to pay above what they would normally give (at least that's one way to get more money out of me).

I'm not that surprised? Most 100 sq meter apartments in Beijing and Shanghai cost more than this. If he has a rich fan who could afford a house in Beijing, Shanghai or Shenzhen, this is not that much. And for some chinese companies, if they decide to buy this as part of 2022 sponsor bids, this is pretty easy change.

It's already been mentioned in the music thread, and ironically, Jeff Buttle did Sing Sing Sing for his SP in the 2006 Olys.

Yes...and I still want a la campanella...

Keep on saying that, and meanwhile Lady 4Loop starts moping in a corner, in case you forgot her ethrealness....

Hold on to them in case we do have to use them. There's no telling with this boy. I'm sure Brian's hair would be happy if we have concrete ways to keep Yuzu strapped down at times, android poohs and swan bags including.
-
No idea, but at least he's kind of taking care of himself. We didn't have to commence operation android poohs this time.
-
Wait until you try toe-loop combos, or salchow-loop combos. Why do people struggle with Salchows? I get the struggle for loops, but salchows are kind of...easy?
-
Which one for SP and which for FS? That's the question.
-
...yolo 4Lz3T...realistically more likely 4Loop3T, but still scary...
-
Hah, lurker Yuzu, in case you really do lurk here. We have streaming parties, you are free to grab a burger, pizza, sushi (or whatever you like), fizzy soda, potato chips, and join us. =)

I think he watches a lot of shonen and sports mangas. There are no confirmations whether he watches Yuri on Ice, but he definitely has probably read, watched and likes Tokyo Ghoul. I think maybe also Kuroko no Basket.

Imagine that last off season we were freaking out about Nessie. This year, we're like, "Yeah, whatever, Nessie just means he's back to normal right?" What a difference a year and 1 injury makes.
-
My guess is yes...he's seen the banners written in all sorts of languages at competitions and I think before at worlds, he's even thanked fans who were watching him (around the world) online. =)

And in a small corner of the world, at night, with his eyes closed, Boyang has a dream where a large plush pooh pats him on the head and whispers to him, "You know what to do for my owner, don't you?" He wakes up, rubs his eyes and notices no poohs in his room. It was just a dream...or was it?
-
I can finally do translations analyzing his skating without worrying about him. No drought, there will be CMs. And what if he goes and joins FaOI as a commentator? Special guest (singing diamonds)?
-
Uh, I think he might actually lose weight, since doesn't he lose muscle mass? And where he stays is up to him. If he goes back to toronto, less media obligations, and he can always head to TCC to do off-ice probably. But staying in Sendai, he might actually relax since practice won't nag him (or it will but he can't do anything). Well, time for him to finish his graduation thesis. And it won't be a total drought- doesn't he usually do CMs over the summer?

Shhhh....what if he goes to Australia as a vacation? Didn't his family get first class tickets for trips from ANA? What if he shows up in Australia for a show ? For a seminar?
