Yeah, why do people insist on joining unrelated music cuts so weirdly, sometimes without even differentiating them in the choreography itself, and without musical connections that make sense? Some programs I saw this weekend sometimes changed music almost mid element.

I just now realized, since I'm seeing some of the FS videos I hadn't yet seen, that Yu/Zhang are also doing a Star Wars FS. Two Star Wars programs in Team China!

Added new videos for Aliev, Samarin and Radionova as well as different versions of videos for other skaters, which are different angles than the first versions.

It's not a bad top. It fits the theme too and I like the detailing. But the details will not be very apparent from afar, on the ice.

I think a lot of skaters wear glasses. It's probably a side effect of the ice glare, which can't be good to your eyes, so it lowers your eyesight. I've seen skaters squint a lot trying to see their scores on jumbotrons.

Boyang's FS: OMG it has the cantina theme! Of course he had to, it's Boyang. I need to see this without so many falls to know if I appreciate it. Right now, the fact I love the music helps. Not so sure on whether I like the shift in mood from the beginning to the step sequence to the second half. The cantina theme is great for the steps, but it is also far too jovial in between the more somber mood of the other pieces.

I''m not loving Zhenya's FS music cut. I love all the individual pieces and the skating she's doing in each one is lovely but together it doesn't scream cohesive to me, because of the way there's a) too many music cuts and b) too abrupt change from one to the other. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but right now I'm just sad she didn't choose only one or two pieces to cut together more cohesively.

I saw that on twitter now I got done with the Russian test skates. Ouch! Was it the ice? These are way too many falls for Boyang, even if we're at the beginning of the season. At least no pops! I also don't see a 4Lo there so is he maintaining his Worlds layout with 4-quads, instead of going for a 5-quad layout like 4CC, I wonder. Apparently Satoko cursed The Planets/Star Wars music. Jun Hwan got injured, Boyang is falling all over the place...

This is just... I've a thing for men and pets, okay!

I'll keep on appreciating Evgenia's program while pretending I don't know what the story behind it is for my peace of mind. I agree with Morozombie on Petrov's program. WTH is that?
