  1. I can see the 4A in the FS but not the SP. It might take a while for Yuzu to be able to SE sandwich a 4A to meet the solo jump steps requirement. Not that the requirement is obeyed and judged correctly as it is by judges but it's the principle of the thing.
  2. I've no idea how that one worked back then and am not sure if the rules were in place already and just waved away or if they hadn't been in play yet.
  3. It's top 3 and top 4-6 at Worlds (not ranking/standings but the competition) who can't meet each other in the same GP event the following season, until the finals. So Yuzu and Shoma (1, 2) couldn't meet each other in GPs this season but neither could Javi and Nathan (4, 6).
  4. OT but do you also have Javi's SP?
  5. To be fair, before Nathan enters Med School he has to do his undergraduate degree, so he has some time!
  6. This interview is gold. Sasha is so ambitious. She started learning the -3Lo combo because she wanted to beat other girls and since they were all doing -3T combos, she wanted to one-up them. If her mentality continues like this, she's going to go far, whether or not she keeps all of the quads she has learned or might learn through puberty. She's got a good, hungry mind.
  7. I'm not sure Nanami crying her eyes out after Worlds 2012's FS is exactly being 'distant' but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because they are otherwise awesome commentators and love Yuzu.
  8. I'm not quite sure you understand Yuzuru very well. And he's not pursuing. Otherwise he wouldn't name Plushenko as the one when people try to call him GOAT.
  9. OMG I'm more curious about what Ghislain was saying to the girl and his interaction with Kikuchi-san afterwards.
  10. I'm not sure if it's been shared here (I don't remember reading this yet!) but english translation of this video: can be found at the YHIFG FB: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1610393525875114/permalink/2042848245962971/ It's good! He talks about his protocols! And about his fears and hopes for the Olympics. And more. Edit: I have seen snippets of translations of this but not the whole thing yet.
  11. I for one would love to see flared trousers and garrish shirts and a 70s program. I'm for it. Not sure it would do as a competitive program but an EX would be great!
  12. In before POTO 2.0. Sorry I put that out into the universe. I must cleanse myself now.
  13. Also he might really go anywhere next season since he won't be a seeded skater at GPs and thus can meet anyone at any assignment.
  14. Depends on whether he needs more or less time for his recovery, and which host country might invite him since he won't have an automatic 2 spots due to missing Worlds. SC (who won't have any top contender men so might invite Yuzu) and CoR are doable, but so is SC and NHK or NHK and IdF (France), though the later seems more brutal schedule wise. CoC and IdF is also an option if for some reason he doesn't do NHK. The options are many. Hopefully he'll be recovered in time of GP season and if he is, chooses to do it.
  15. I'm down for a super!Yuzu program. He could skate to Kamen Rider music. It's super-ish.
  16. I'm bringing this one back for a question. Yuzuru isn't going to participate at Worlds this season so he won't be in the Top 12 at Worlds. He is firmly, of course, in the Top 24 Season's Best. How will his assignments for GP next season work, if he does recover enough (and decides) to participate? He has one spot available due to his Top 24 SB status but for the second spot he will need a host invitation slot, correct?
  17. Did the news talk about the fake bids? What was their take on it?
  18. No? Where did you even read that? Edit: rules changes are eliminating one jumping pass and 30s off the FS. Everything else is related to the new -5/+5 scale of GOE. That's it. Probably some other subtle rewording on rules too, as usual. Nothing quite so drastic as ruining layout's BV so much. Edit 2: and possibly lowering quad BV.
  19. I really don't think 2-time Olympic champion, 2-time World champion and 12-time record breaking Yuzuru Hanyu has anything to prove come autumn...... what even?
  20. I like how people do some new interpretations of gestures years after the fact. Since this was at NHK, wasn't he just letting everyone know exactly why he was an Olympic Champion after all. Poignant, considering his issues the previous season. What ranking did he top this time?
