Saw these two images in the last couple of days - one is a current book on Amazon.co.jp (that came up on my recommended when I was looking for Yuzu mag...) and then noticed Miya's YT page when I watched his new song release/video....artists very obviously get inspiration from each other!!

Yuzu we are waiting for the magic !

I saw a post from Finland too saying they wouldn't host European Championships 2024 because of economic reasons.

Miya is so funny I wish I had hugged cardboardzuru when I was in Sendai now lol!!

Here I am, spending my money on posters and clear files all over again like I did when I was a teenager many moons ago (and now during a cost of living crisis....) There is no hope for me anymore.....I have become a Yuzu-merch addict (posters and clearfiles are so lovely, but I was sad that again the GIFT bag was not available *cries*)

POTO 2.0 (how wonderful to see it again in GIFT and SOI - on multiple occasions!) - I agree with Micaelis - it suited Yuzuru's shape so much and had that sense of drama needed for the character. The gold collar, the cuffs.... There is that wonderful photo of him from the back just walking with his skates on away from the camera.... Origin 1.0 was of the same calibre - suited Yuzuru's beautiful shape, esp from the back, the feathers, the black & gold - such drama!! Well lots of his costumes are dramatic unsurprisingly, so it is always hard to choose!

Haha you'd never guess I have actually seen the film, naming the wrong Date on here (I just googled Date Lord of Sendai lol as I couldn't remember the family name/surname EDIT: this should say the first name lol - I am a bit stupid sometimes arrgh!). Anyway I saw it in 2018 on a flight from Helsinki to Narita Airport (Finnair - they served lovely complimentary blueberry juice on board!). The film is so good! It was really funny, unexpectedly so - Yuzu's part was small and didn't stick in my memory apart from his very boy-like sounding voice and acting lol!! He was so young too. He still looked very lovely, even with a bald head! anyway thanks for the corrections @Perelandraand @Geo1 I must do my research more carefully!!

and he has cultivated such a beautiful voice for acting (which he definitely didn't have when he played Date Masamune!)

I got a copy today too!! I only managed Yuzu's handwritten message so far "A dream ends, a new dream begins/continues, Hanyu Yuzuru will continue, until now and always, with all my might, like a Blue Flame" Bless him, he is so inspirational with his and a great choice of photo too!!

So reassuring for us that this is his plan - 10 more years of Yuzuru at least!! (hopefully anyway, I know there is always the possibility of the unexpected around the corner for all of us, even god like miracle maker Yuzuru!)

Well it would be nice if we could all use it In the UK we have many choices I suppose - Mr Miss Ms Mrs Mx (for eg. non binary ppl) then things pertaining to someone's profession like Dr Rev etc - just having one like San would be so much easier!!!

San is used how others use Mr or Ms - it is a wonderful title as it is gender neutral (and also doesn't show women's marital status either!)

Happy birthday to this wonderful Planet where we can come and gush about Yuzuru endlessly, and also discuss so many other things on different threads. My favourite threads are the general chat, the ice shows of course, videos, poetry thread (wish we used it more!) and fanart, oh and a bit of BTS too- so very many talented and knowledgeable fans. Despite being a member since the birth of the Planet, I still have so much to discover on here! Thanks to all who moderate, administrate, and participate on the forum, and Many Happy Returns of the Day!

There is nothing wrong with calling ppl known to you as auntie/uncle eg good friends of your parents when you were children - I am referring to someone calling older women an auntie or a granny simply because they can see it it is an older woman - it’s an ageist thing imo) Thanks all for engaging with this topic ❤️

Hello all lovely fanyus, we have had a discussion on here a long while ago about how names like auntie and granny are offensive to many older women, of which I am one! Not as old as Tetsuko san though Isn't she an amazing woman?! Many of us are neither an auntie or a granny and have names that we like to be referred to by. What we are is older women and of course it's fine to call us that, but woman or women is really fine on its own too. Many might think these words are used affectionately in different cultures - I checked ages ago with Japanese fans on here and was informed that in Japan the term auntie can be and is used in a derogatory way towards older women. So, please could I ask all our younger and older people, men, women, non binary people or however we identify, to remember to be respectful to all of us regardless of our characteristics. (By the way, I would love to be called auntie by my nieces and nephews, and love to be called granny by my grandchildren if I had any! The names describing our relationship to members of our family are not offensive of themselves in case you have misunderstood. It's applying them to women as if they are only valued by their relationships to others, even when you don't even know if they have such a relationship, and mainly of course they are applied to women because of their older age. (The same goes for men imo but it is up to men to decide how they feel about that, not me, However, I really don't like older men being called grandad, I feel it is rude, unless he is your grandad, or an actual grandad and even then surely you would say, "Mr Tanaka, a grandad of 4 children".... and not just call him "this grandad"). Hope you don't mind me raising this again, it is an important issue to me and others, and I think if any of us feel offended by terms used to refer to people we should say so as we are all learning and growing and none of us get everything right, me especially!! You don't have to agree with this either, we don't all agree with each other and that is fine, but I would just ask you to please remember it and ask politely for you not use it on a public forum. Sorry to change topic but what is this, and have we discussed it on here? The notice came out end March and the show is tonight 29th Apr and tomorrow night 30th - where is Yuzuru right now?? I know Geo said he had heard Yuzu would return home Fri...but which Friday?? ....and Geo did say his return had not been confirmed!! Is it just a tiny show for a small group of skaters and private members? Maybe....
