Ah maybe I gave them too much benefit-of-the-doubt. As your post said it was a Team Japan fanbook, I imagined a cover with the whole team on it! I should have known better....

I'm sure Yuzuru will be around in the "official" literature for a while yet....tbh I don't know how we would feel if they excluded him from last season's Team Japan - I think I'd feel that was an insult too. Aside from the obvious underscoring issues and the corruption in this area leading up to the Olys with overscoring of others, I still think a 4th place in the Olys is a pretty amazing thing....I know it isn't for Yuzuru but for most athletes it would be something to be proud of despite missing out on a medal. Leaving him out of a fanbook would seem wrong imo? Again I realise the book is probably aimed at the promotion of others, we know that is JSF strategy, they have said they want to make superstars out of the other skaters. But still, Yuzu WAS part of that team, and should be remembered as such. I do feel Beijing was a difficult experience for him and for most of us too, but still he did a beautiful Rondo imo (damn that hole!) and his Tenchi won so many hearts. His 4A effort is a piece of FS drama and history. He says now he is happy he skated there. I also feel that any of us have a total right to feel salty as hell about everything JSF JOC ISU IOC do forevermore!!!

Interesting to hear Max and Angelo's commentary in the early years (English subs) - here is 2011 Etude - of course they are highly complimentary of Yuzuru's skating!

The Team Japan video - I agree with @Melodie that Yuzuru is being used for clicks, but on the other hand Yuzuru's words in this video are amazing (and there are English subs) and there's the usual outpouring of love in the comments section - I think the comments are so important to demonstrate how people continue to feel about Yuzuru (and even to make a little dig at those who have failed him in the FS community).

Are we sure Yuzuru is only the god of figure skating??

I truly hope so, (unlike me, not usually a vengeful person, except towards ultra right wing politicians but that's to be expected given the harm they do to people) This gem of an athlete/artist/person, how dare they treat him badly. Fans/supporters have often remarked over the years that Yuzuru needed to be cherished within the sport as there would be no other like him in FS for generations, if ever. Of course, the powers-that-be did not listen at all to these voices. Well, they have lost my custom until they acknowledge what they did, say how sorry they are, and change things so it never happens again to any other athlete in FS.

I'm for the second one as well - you can see all of him including his feet!! Less distraction than with the frequent camera changes - bit more like seeing him skate live too, just from one position.

Just watching the bilibili full Yuzu cut - and I just had to come back here and say that Raison is just so unbelievably (swearword) good!! (here is an example of where only a swearword will do for emphasis, as discussed when we were talking about Yuzu saying kuso!) The performance on that day in Kobe was just ahhhhhhh perfect. I love it!

and he has such a great voice! Why an American (U.S.) accent JWB?? (tho it does sound suitably dramatic for Yuzuru!!) Edit: just watched again - it's all U.S. athletes that Yuzu is compared with and they are greats of course but they could have added another Japanese sports star - Shohei or Kohei for example - Shohei especially given he is well known in the U.S. and is a really unbelievable sportsman. 2nd EDIT: ahhhh just re-read this - it sounds like I don't think Kohei is an unbelievable sportsman the way I have written this! But of course you know I don't mean that because he IS an unbelievable sportsman too
