It's not like they create it from scratch, it was there before, but mostly took part skaters that didn't have GPs, though others sometimes too. I wonder if T/M will have to participate, read they are in America.
-
12 participants in disciplines sounds sensible cuz there will be no juniors, but potential fields are too uneven and judging will be more of a joke than ever. I wonder when they should decide on 4CC?

I think gossips flow around at Russian skating forums, full of "insiders" and some SNS. And I'd be surprised if Plushenko stated otherwise, but who knows what actually happened.
-
I think it's a question of budgeting in the first place, but might be solved before season will start, I think there were such cases already Well, I've heard gossip that Alyona demanded too much, but it's gossip... Anna has quads, is cute and polite, so who knows at what sponsors look at in the end.
-
Cuz Challengers are abroad, but they still planned regionals and sectionals in Japan. Of course there's no guarantee that smth will not get cancelled in the end.

Yes, Alina has everything but she still decided not retire yet. Also big names has sponsors and if they will have no appearance they might as well drop them. The problem is it's not a question of this Autumn but of further comps too, either organizers find a way to work around in new situation or sport can be stopped altogether. I can agree that for SkAm situation looks bad and it might be better at least to move it later for now (and also the final) and maybe to another city, but I just don't want to speak for skaters that are in this sport since childhood.

2020/2021 Season Program Announcements

Anastasia Mishina/Aleksandr Gallyamov SP: Esmeralda variation from ‘La Esmeralda’ -
If domestic comps will go ahead in the country I don't see why this GPs should be skipped, if domestic comps will be cancelled, GP also most likely will be cancelled. I only think final shouldn't be held in such situation. Of course I hope not anyone will be forced to participate, but not sure athletes will want to skip the events. I see it more like domestic comps + some guests that will be broadcasted internationally.

Skaters like Donovan from small feds will be in bad position anyway, cuz most likely no GPS and no national competitions either, it's sad but nothing can be done here.

As I understand tests are not fully reliable.

To sell at least some TV-rights? As a viewer I'm not against at least some skating on TV, cuz who knows how regionals will be covered. Interesting what skaters think about it? Though I guess the participation will not be a mandatory.

I dunno if it's better than nothing or not. Will wait for full statement. Skaters from strong feds might have local comps and skaters from small feds will not be able to organize virtual events for 1-2 skaters anyway.

It really fit the program, even though I think Jun's layback position is better (mostly his free leg position), but Yuzu later done it at shows at least. We all know were his training energy goes... I also dunno why there's 1 choreo stsq but not at least one choreo spin out of the 3. I feel like spin's positions are very limited by rules.
-
I remember he tried layback position at the final spin, but got rid of it at Helsinki GP already. Also that cute moment when he ended on his butt at the end of NDP
-
Lots of people who skate say that spins make them dizzy, so maybe it's not good/necessary to train them much at least if you're already good at it like Yuzu, though even Yuzu uses mostly the same positions every year.
-
I think he doesn't like training spins (he really trains them very little during competition official practices), not that he doesn't like them at all.
-
Mishin is pretty old already, who knows how much time he is ready to invest. And to relocate to other city is not easy either.
-
They for sure had them for a long time. I bought one at 2017

Don't think so, I think Dudakov is jumping coach and he's well known and it's not like all group coaches can sit in K&C. Though maybe Rozanov is more ambitious and decided to move and wanted more autonomy. Not sure, judges like her SS and she has good height on her jumps, but I believe it was developed with her previous coaches.
-
Wow, that I really did not expect, they already showed part of new FS. She seemed to me the most calculating/tactical one, so I'm sure there was more to it then just sharing the ice
-
I also don't like some parts where they cut parts of Yuzu out of frame or where he barely fits the frame, but full frame of his skates I like. I really hope he'll skate cut version of Origin as an EX or show number one day (how he did with Seimei and H&L), so he will not have to save all the energy for quads.
-
I don't see Yuzu skating to this song but smth upbeat to make people smile could be good
-
I would say most 23 yo young men still behave like kids (not all but still). And some games have good OST, but I wonder when and where Shoma will get choreo. He might as well stick to old once, though I'd prefer new FS.

You can change forum them/colours at the bottom of the page. I prefer Winter Olympics 2018 theme colours. New one is great but I think too bright for me
