The only source they might get info from is Cricket (might have happened before, still I am not saying they are trustworthy). Not that it matters much now, we will know soon, though I am starting to get a little impatient the closer competition is.

I can only be sad that there's no fancams, so screams will be turned down by TV Though if we will finally see Yuzu, I can not be sad even with no fancams rule.

JSF has a habit to withheld the announcements till last minute, even if they know information before. There's little waiting time ahead, but the less it is, the more hopeful I become.

I remember when Jeff talked about Yuzu, he only implied that he send video recently and that it has different vide from Chopin, that's all (and that he likes PW). At least it was in the video that I saw, where he talked about Yuzu in the end. I hope if Yuzu will be at JNats he will share some info about the process.

S/K WD from RusNats https://www.sports.ru/figure-skating/1092119361-siniczina-i-kaczalapov-ne-vystupyat-na-chempionate-rossii.html?from=main-news-fs

Jeff said that he send video choreo recently and that interview was in October. So either Yuzu had FS choreo done before or decided to go with old one. Two new programs and coaching by video calls (or coaching by himself) is quite a challenger, though Yuzu for sure can overcome it. We'll see soon, hopefully.

noooooooooo, new programs! at least SP And I don't believe there will be new programs without new costumes anyway Satomi has all his measurements, some adjustments can be needed after fitting of course, but there's zoom + delivery

It wasn't suddenly, it was always like this, so just nothing new. There's almost no challengers later and those that are correspondent with GP events. And usually only small feds compete for these last spots, so it's not like ISU care much.

I'll buy wine and cheese, if...

I'd like to slightly correct that it still was less than 10 months, cuz at first it was lockdown, then he had studies, though I believe he still had his training. But I agree it's completely different situation than at previous years, when he was exhausted. Also it will be first competition not only for Yuzu, but for Shoma, Rika and Satoko too. Of course they had coaches and amount of pressure is not the same, but still.

It's just before GP season, like most of the Challenger series.

I don't think Yuzu will confirm anything, he is on the official list. The announcement can only come in case of WD.

In Sendai posters are always only about Yuzu and always beautiful

I hope press will have to keep distance, I din't follow in what format press-conference was done during NHK.

Yuzu is on the competition list, but he can WD until the last minute, so we can only wait.

Only if they will start to tech pairs

Nah, everything planned, tickets sold, so won't happen. If some of the favorites skates bad at Nats, they can have a skate off in Russian Cup final in February (was already done before) in case Worlds happen and team must be decided. It seems to me there's too little time to organize a new event, so saying in press is one thing, but if they will do it is another question.

Best technicality can be quite subjective, like for different people it will mean different things. If you ask my mom, she will say Nate is technically best right now, he has a lot of quads and is remarkably consistent with it, at the same time she will say Yuzu's skating is artistically best and he should win with clean skating. I will say that for me Nate's jumps are not exciting enough in terms of height/distance/flow, Yuzu's jumps have great height/distance and look so easy, when successful. So I can understand those who say they see Yuzu as an artist in the first place, I became his fan for his beautiful skating in the first place too. But even Yuzu's artistry will not look so amazing without his great technical execution and flow. Yes, Yuzu has a lot of challengers: complex programs, a lot of pressure on himself, being quite particular about jumping timing and one with the music. But he is who he is and that makes our journey exciting

I said that were such rumors. I don't think she can cover all expenses abroad by herself anyway (RusFed and skating club covers some expenses for all main team members). You can add here show cancellations, Russian currency big drop and bratty behavior on top of that (with Japan trip in the first place), so it is what it it is now.
-
I am not sure she could stay with Brian, even if we put aside all that very questionable Japan trip, there were rumors RusFed didn't want to pay for Canada anymore.

So many beautiful messages Happy birthday, Yuzu! Hope you'll have great time with family today!

Story close to mine. I live close to Europe but didn't go to Barcelona in 2014, previously I didn't have a thought about traveling to comps, only went to events in my town. But I liked to travel, so when it was Barcelona for second time in a row and I had a friend who wanted to go to Spain, I didn't think twice Going at least once per season since then.

I have some photos from Torino. There's many that are better than mine on twitter, but I have no problem with sharing. Just let me know what and how many you need (comp, gala, practice) and I'll look what I have
