Honestly? I was kinda tuning him out because he was babbling too much and it was all nonsense but that sounds about right..

Yeah, but it slipped out when I think Prins asked if the objective was to... discourage quads? I'm not sure what word he used, but something like that, and the guy kind of automatically said no, to reduce.

you mean the "it's not our intention to limit the maximum number of quads possible in a FS, that's only a consequence of this proposal"? Yeah, that'll be the day when we  have to consider the consequences of our actions  ridiculous idea, really

Why did no one bring up the fact that quad combos are most likely to disappear if they forbid quads repetition, which also limits variety in a program (or did i miss that)

Nope, I didn't hear any such thing.

Wow, they really do not want to make the technical proposals democratic.

I like the tall chap from New Zealand too. The way he made the point about pauses in short dance to people who were obviously condescending to him was very entertaining.

Typical (fantastic) Kiwi response.

I'm not biased in any way, shape, or form. :P

you expected democracy? oh sweet summer child.....if they made it democratic, it's clear too many feds would balk.  Most people, if you allow them to min max, will not enjoy restrictions to the min maxing.

The council are all so incredibly patronising and condescending, though. I nearly ground my teeth down watching some of it. And the voting took sooo long.

Ladies was not discussed, when will that be?

Wow they actually told the truth, i didn't expect that o_O

I think i explained before how the no quad repetition rule is only the consequence of the cutting time and the less jumping pass, but i guess no one really reads it bc its so fcking long or people must have think that post (or i?) suck up to the isu so much  (even though i hate isu as well lmao i think i was halfway to quit fs altogether after i found out about the stsq and spin bv decrease)

I didn't watch the streaming bc it seems full of bad arguments and i didn't have the time anyway

But it still makes me sad that everywhere i look people really seem to support the possibility of 'only 4 type of jumps for free layout' winning the gold (i think xmonster on tumblr is the only other person who also didn't want this to happen which is honestly more than enough for me :') )

Skaters who's best jumps are 4Lz and 4F must ve very happy.

Here is the 'only 4 type of jumps' layout that can be allowed technically if isu wont pass the quad repetition rule and wont do anything else regarding zayak, with the chance of winning next season being very high bc BV, and stabilized jumps bc its literally filled with only 2 type of jumps (with similar technique even wow):

4Lz3T 4Lz 4F2T 4F 4T 3Alo3F 3Lz (For the 5 quads lovers)

4Lz3T 4Lz 4F2T 4T 3F3T 3A 3Lz (if you like going clean everytime)

Salchow and Loop are close to being forgotten (especially loop). Most of the men will drop their worst jump, so 'only 5 type of jumps free layout' will be the norm next season!

If only there is some rule that could reward skaters who insists on performing ALL type of jumps! (Like this one guy who has certain ideals for his skating, i seem to recall he just won his second olympic gold) Or make it a little bit more fair to the the rest of the skaters who are not good at both the flip and Lutz jumps bc, clearly, this benefits the lz and f jumper so much.... Or i dont know, a rule that dont highly encourage skaters to drop a type of jumps?

Oh wait

(On another hand i have a conspiracy theory that they didn't explain the reason clearly in the congress bc those ppl actually want the rule to be gone too (but with the chance of it never coming back so it needs to be passed first and then get repealed later) so they make ppl mad and really hate it first now) yeah yeah i know how it sounds thats why i said its a conspiracy theory lol

Sorry if this sounds too... Idk aggresive? I just, really want to say something bc its been driving me crazy lol

Eta: i guess even if that rule wont pass or will be repealed later, men's event will be just becoming more like ladies' event which is hardly the end of the world. If anything theyd fall less when their jumps stabilized, even if everyone avoid 1 or 2 jump types completely. Ladies' event is the most bearable one to watch fully for me, so 🤷

In case for anyone who has missed it, the evil USB stick for music has been defeated.

(RIP looking into the future)

Well they turned it to the athletes commission, because of course, digital formats, usb sticks and all these modern things are better dealt with by young people. >_<
