Freaking finally, the protocols .

 

Mai's BV is surprisingly higher than Kaori. But that's due to Mai having Lz and getting lv4 on the stsq.

Yet, judges are not as impressed with Mai's jumps as they are with Kaori's, apparently. Which is, fair enough, I guess. Kaori's are more powerful looking, while just as effortless.

 

Shiraiwa lost 2 levels on the layback and also only gets lv3 on the stsq. Lecavalier was also clean but lost levels on many non-jumping elements. Which means, Mai was the only one hitting all the levels yesterday.

I'm so proud Mai never surrendered on her sp! It's a pity she only managed to tame it after Nats, and that this score won't be counted... But Kobe girls are both amazing and their team clearly have studied the rulebook and knows how to optimize a layout and showcase the strenghts of their skaters (Kaori's illusion spin doesn't count). Iirc Mai also has one of the highest bv on spins  (maybe second only to Alina), and only Kaori's jumping issue is her flutz and I'm sure she will improve on that   

really a good team... tho scores not always reflect that. If only skaters where equal...)
