I was really surprised to find Marin in 10th place when I checked the results today.

Oh no at that 3Lz-3T. She has such a relaxed way of jumping that I thought she would hit it with no problems as she took off. But alas...

And was really surprised when she popped that 2A. What happened there? She looked so shocked herself afterwards.

One thing I can say about Marin though, she has amazing skating skills. That step sequence was just wonderful (except for that little stumble), and I do think she deserved a lot more than the low 7s she received from the judges. They really punished her for her mistakes, and I guess skating in the first group didn't do her any favours either.

 

Really happy for Anna for going clean here. She really needed that confidence boost. You could feel how nervous and tentative she was during the performance. Hope this encourages her and brings out more of her fire during her FS and succeeding competitions.

 

Kaetlyn was, without argument, the best tonight. I really hope she can keep this up and keep this going for the rest of the season. She is really positioning herself as one of the top contenders for an Olys medal, if not the top spot.

 

The performance that made me smile today though was from Laurine. Really liked her program, and she was light and joyful in her skating all throughout. I thought she could have scored higher in her PCS, but hopefully that will come with time as she improves and pulls out more of these types of performances. Looking forward to seeing more of her in upcoming competitions.

Her spins have been dodgy for a while now. I am not sure why her team hasn't taken a good look at those but then why is Waka's team keeping that F. Who knows. Sigh.

We are somewhat in a bind, what with Match not airing the GPs any more, and possibly not the GPF either, and I am not sure if the Chinese guy is off for good or not, and ESP is so hit and miss .... sigh.

So our internet provider decided that today is not the day for us to have an internet connection, which means I won't be able to watch the FSs  And I was gonna watch on TV with tolerable commentators and everything  The universe just hates me today I guess, so I'm counting on the updates here, because that's about the only thing my (very limited) mobile data can handle

She is probably doing the opposite of P.Chan. He wears practice outfit for actual skating, she wears a costume for practice.
