Honestly I'm so relieved Yuzuru hasn't got any UR and the flip was good (call me pessimist but I was fearing tha could be a way worse narrative than inconsistency, an omg that super save on the Lutz was sheer willpower :tumblr_inline_ncmifiE3IT1rpglid:)

Well he popped the 4T (at least it was still a double) and the 4Lo...so glad he's learning to pop into triples :tumblr_inline_n18qr5AMus1qid2nw:

Though, Yuzu, better not pop at all:waffle:

But overall I'm satisfied.

A pity the missed the combo, I guess he didn't want to risk going for the lo3S after the 4T and not even after the Axel, I don't now if it's because it would screw the choreo and the timing of the last axel (glad he nailed that) or for lack of training of that old combo...and now I'm rambling.:sign0007:

Heck that stsq level 3 must be really kuyashii for Yuzuru :13877886:

Still not sure why his TR are always much lower than the other components... and judge 3, I think, gave Nathan higher TR then Yuzuru...I mean, seriously? On TR? A few judges scored them too close for SS too, I think, but again, overall it looks judges haven't gone crazy, which is a relief

next step for yuzu: all jumps rotated without pops

and now I should really have lunch, it's already 3 Pm here...:embSwan:

Nobody cares about change in costume?

This is really not good for my heart. I'm not kidding about the palpitations. :tumblr_inline_n18qr5AMus1qid2nw:

What changed.. I wasn't paying attention

Besides all the things Yuzu learned in this competition, I actually like seeing all the support, teasing and current positivism (so far) about Yuzu's programs and silver from many fans, commentators, and professionals (and also hopefully from the Japanese media too, because US will do their thing).

Because he doesn't have JSF backing him the way say USFS is backing Nathan.

Japanese judge can do such obvious bad job...noooooooo 9.75 for Nathan is hilarious...and considering the 9.75 overscored comment...

Me! I do! I've only been annoying about it for the past ... I've lost all track of time. A lot of minutes.

A major 4CC flashback to me with the same gap for both SP, LP and overall. This is miles better than ACI. Yes, baby 4lz got his debut, but I hope 4lo and 4S will behave in next events . 1 pop and 1 3lo and no fall. I surprise he could do 4T3T and land both his 3A. His speed and movements in 2nd half are good too. His stamina improve alot. This is also his best showing at first GP. The score is very high. His GOE is also fair and 94+ PCS, sorry I'm so used to 88+ pcs at skate canada. After 2 events, its safe to say  udges arent tired of reuse program.

Nathan did a great job too. I like this LP. Its not easy to skate after Yuzu. He's such a great competitor.

Kolyada was overscored but he deserve that bronze. The key is rotating. He has 3 fall but his TES is almost the same as Yuzu and he has highest PB today.

First GP is done. Now Yuzu has almost 3 weeks till NHK. I can't wait to see how much he will improve by then <3

The light and dark lines of sparkles have been filled in so there is no space between them. And the collar isn't all ripply anymore. And it's beautiful and magical and wonderful.

his previous seimei had very thin sparkles in the front and back

he made them really bold this time

like a big ass bird tail pattern on the front and back

I need comparison photos

are you talking about seimei 1.0 costume orrr.. I don't see a difference to ACI?

I agree. I think I heard a cheer when Nathan popped a jump and I think that's not fair. We should give credit where it's due and I think Nathan did a pretty good job here.

i agree with you!!!

even though i'm not a nathan fan or anything, i think that for someone who's only in his second year of seniors and so young (only 18), he's doing really well here!  and cheering when a skater pops a jump is just BAD FORM.  like where's the sportsmanship, people???

I'd have to rewatch but I don't think that's the case? People generally cheer when a skater lands a jump (whether it popped or not). I mean, they clapped for Yuzu's 3Lo and 2T..

The hilarious thing is the Canadian judge. So that's judge #7. Take a look at Yuzuru's scores and Nathan's. Way way more objective scoring there. It's really funny. I mean it doesn't affect anything, because those highest scores got nixed but it does make me roll my eyes.

It's the same costume as ACI but with finishing touches. Lines of sparkles are now solid blocks instead of separate lines.
