Now tell me how these Japanese skaters learn to pick speed without seeming to push off so hard - and why others can't do it?

Good job Tatsuya

I wonder if Andrew might just win this after all.

Don't know whether to root for him or not

Depends on this guy. He has empty Plushy programs, and he tends to make a massive mess, but if he does not ...

Tatsuya seems to have empty program but good elements. Was it a 2A from a counter?

Good spins, but his pancake spin just begged for a Yuzu-like arm movement. Why don't young skaters borrow those from Yuzu? Yuzu copied some of his from Weir, so it's not like taking elements from others is something wrong.

I like the music but the program is boring

Oh look, he imploded. What a surprise except not. Ah ah RusFed, next time, do try and be fair.

Someone please tell Plushenko it's been years. Empty programs do not cut it any more.

That's the Samoilov's everyone's used to seeing - unravelling badly. Yesterday was just his day?

The program looked so bare...

That was a bit boring tbh. The step seq was the perfrctly unremarkable, run-of-the-mill.

He's still ahead..

I hate seeing a program so blatantly consisting only of jumps...

Tomoki's 17? He looks 15..

He likes the bandage/bondage look doesn't he?

so, no GPF?

Yeah, with the quad combo but yes, guuuh. Same. We should be past that. Ah well.
