Well, I do not agree with Med's scores half the time... they do want to have someone appear to challenge her... AND, remember the HUGE score she got at World's for what she did?  The judges love her, either in Canada or in Finland. It is not just home ice advantage, even if people want to think that.

Osmond would never get this score out of Canada, ever.

Did you see what she performed? Ever. Whether the judges love her or not. Her flutz will be ignored but not this mess.

I thought Osmond skated better here than at World's where I didn't think she should have gotten silver... but judges love her, I knew it would be a monster score as soon as she hit her loop...

Either way, Mai got a good score for her first comp this season.

And, I am not a big Osmond fan, just have seen which way the wind is blowing...

The competition is in Canada, of course she is overscored, but most of the time her jumps deserve positive GOE.

Yeah, but she lost quite a bit of BV with the pop plus some other mistakes... and 142 is a lot...

All I can say is... good luck Shoma, at SC!

Ouch, Kaetlyn. Get well!

Yep. Not that Patrick is the best example of consistency.

I loved Mai's skate. I love her speed across the ice, the flow. This program has potential... kind of wish there were no vocals until the chorus, though. Wilson seems to find music that is famous as an instrumental and gives vocal versions to his skaters...

i am not the sort of person to defend medvedeva's scores, usually the opposite, but she scored 146 at nepela for one step out in a program where 6 jumping passes were backloaded and getting the bonus, whether we like it or not, as well as a couple of tight landings and a flutz. and kaetlyn scored 142 for... that? uh. okay. good job at making the lombardia scores look sane, canada. she could have won anyway with the point cushion she had from the short, there was pretty much no need to go so out of control with the marks. and we can say "oh different judging panels, its subjective" but the technical difference is staggering even with medvedeva's unusual shortcomings today and im just :?::?::?::?::?::?:

she's never going to get the same marks for a performance like that outside of canada, so why give her those marks here???
