Ok... So I was gonna be all "Maaaaarin! This is the music you proudly saved for the Olympic season??"

But when she says it like that I can't be mad at her because I have a special soft spot for that performance.

So many news, yay! I'm very excited about Satoko being back and her music, hope she will come back strong and healthy  

Marin... at first I was kind of disappointed because it is such a warhorse and Shoma is doing it too but now that I think about it... Whatever she skates to, it's going to be delightful to watch, she has such a wonderful presence on ice  And we know she has been saving it for this season, so hopefully she will have a very good connection with the music

I really like Yuna's music, especially her FS. Satoko will do well with Madame butterfly I think  although I want her to keep the planet FS ( and thanks god its Tom Dickson, not Lori). As for Marin.... why turandot 

 

(I getting more and more positive about Ballade 3.0 since most of music choices this season are )

Mirai Nagasu keep her Chopin SP, but different piece of course. I dont think anyone will skate to Chopin Ballade other than Yuzu this season.

I mean.. the skaters are dividing themselves into groups here. There's a i'm-reusing-my-program squad, I'm-joining-the-warhorse squad, and hello-i'm-new-here squad like high school....

Thats the olympic season for you   and its just the 2nd day of new season

I admit when I read about Rika's program music, I was like '.....Kung Fu Panda???' Sad that it doesn't immediately convey a ~sophisticated~ vibe because of that (hopefully only to me??), but I really like the piece and I love that she picked music with Asian influences. Some diversity and variety is always nice ( :

I liked Kihira's sp music a lot and Shiraiwa's choices are the best so far from announced programs till now.

SP: Kodo (probably the same music he used in 2010-2012 seasons)

FS: “Stand by me” and “Human” (this might have already been announced via his twitter or instagram and shared in this thread.)
