I'm pretty sure it says unreserved seats, first come first serve in terms of seating, for the 8K thing.

 

I need to contact my hotel and ask permission to give that as my address, then I'll apply, too.

 

It'll be an exciting three days... Especially, as I haven't checked how far this place is from the event venue. And the re-runs, which are no application, are generally continuously run with other competitions... but I'm trying to hold on to hope that the place will be so good there won't really be bad seats...

If you Google ナレッジシアター グランフロント a bunch of images come up. Looks like standard cinema size. I think it's about 30 minutes from the arena.

Thank you! That's a bit disappointing... I guess with that high quality, I expected something more like iMax (but then again, they said screen size 316 inches and that's not very big, I think. Me and inches haven't been properly introduced to each other).

Yeah, my imagination was iMaxing, too.  But I remember how I felt seeing a tiny 4K screen for the first time and it was mind-blowing so I'm sure this would still be fantastic.

I saw a big screen TV once in a hypermarket and I have no idea what quality it was but it was mind-blowing, too. Crystal clear doesn't even come close to describing it... We'd probably be able to count the sweat drops on Yuzu's face I just worry a bit that in the back it won't be as impressive. But we'll see... First we need to get tickets/whatever those will be lol

 

Edit: Though now I'm imagining Yuzu in iMax...

And a how many kms long line to pose with it, I wonder?

My plan before I heard about the 8K was to go to a karaoke room with the biggest screen I can find and watch there and cheer my heart out without disturbing anyone.

And I doubt it, I'm traveling very low budget and staying in a tiny tatami room, with a futon and might get a TV (hopefully lol) in a small hotel... I hope it'll be fine lol (the room sounds like the one I've stayed in before in Tokyo, I just worry a bit about the hotel itself and the area and so on lol)

I think it's the one that got lodged inside Pierce in Community.  I don't know how anyone could use them. I'd rather squat.

 

Oh boy, tatami sleeping is rough (but smells so good.) I legit damaged myself last time I was in Japan. Had to change accommodations and was stuck in my room for 5 days with a busted hip.  It's so tempting for the price but I just have to bite the bullet and give up on ever saving any money. I'll have plenty of time for busted hips when I'm bankrupt and homeless and sleeping under a bridge.
