I agree regarding SC but CoC will be very difficult for her to make it to the podium with Zagitova, Daleman and Higuchi on her way... And she has only 4 days between the two competitions. I don't think it was a wise decision especially in her first senior year. To me it looks more like JSF decided to give her a test for mental strength... Of course it's only my opinion.

CoC and IDF share half the same field,so IDF would have been more reasonable choice indeed. I can only speculate that they considered CoC as at least slightly weaker field or they need to know Marin's results before NHK. I don't actually think of Higuchi as a serious threat,Zagitova yes,Daleman so-so,as she's not that consistent

Correct me if I'm wrong but Higuchi is going to add 3A next season. She's not that consistent as Marin but she has several months to stabilize her jumps and work on presentation/SS and other aspects. And according to one of  Daleman's latest interviews, she's also working on new jumps though she didn't tell anything specifically, but she's planning to improve the difficulty of her programs before OG. So I'm still worried about Marin. Actually I'm worried about all the Japanese ladies next season. I guess this time we can't predict anything.

Can't correct you,as I didn't know that. I vaguely remember smth about Higuchi,but it was a long time ago. Marin is doomed if things work out for these girls, but then again you never know with these high-risk elements. God,I remember Higuchi crying so hard,when she didn't deliver, will she be able to endure even more pressure if things go south with 3A

I'd rather see both men share the Olympic Gold (and give Boyang an honorary small Gold simply by virtue of having the best FS music choice in the world). That's the only thing I don't like about figure skating; a tie is virtually impossible.

In case of a tie in total points, the FS score wins, right? I think that happened at GPF 2015 with Patrick and Boyang.

I'm, quite frankly, not sure. I only remember reading the rules once and it's a *long list*. They make sure it is utterly impossible to get a tie. Say, for example, if score is the same, then look at the FS, if still same, look at SP, if still the same, look at World ranking, if... etc. Something like that hahaha.

I mean, making two cardboard gold medals is too expensive......
