Yup. I am seriously considering chucking it all and just going to the Olympics. I don't think they've treated foreign fans with any respect with this ridiculous system and secretive number of tickets.

Same. With this kind of system, everyone will only ever be able to get tickets for one day.

By the time you finish selecting one (if you can even), the tickets for the other days will be gone.

lmao I think that was the case really. XD I didn't even think and just picked day 1 since I was thinking to go do it "in order". I got an Arena seat!

I do think it would be worth it for everyone to make a very loud stink about these sales. They can easily offer 3 day passes or lottery to foreigners but it looks like this is the system they've used for years with no attempt to make it easier to farer. I'm sure pre-Hanyu it might have worked a bit better but c'mon!

I was strategising and thinking right, I'll do my best to get FS tickets first.

I got arena SP for NHK, too. Maybe that's all they've offered. O_o

I only want arena seats so I went for it; but the system did not allow me to add to the cartafter that, everything else was gone...

Although in my case I would have been in Japan at that time already, I think if you really were going to Japan just to see the GPF, it is very inconsiderate of them to not have an all event ticket

I honestly was strategizing the night before too lmao but I was sleeping before this so...down the drain it went.

I think everything was sold out right away. I figured everyone would try for arena so asked my family to try for S and A while I tried for arena and still nothing. Though the stupid site showed an error for me and everyone in my family at first so I had no chance.

As it is, I think for foreigners we will need a horde of friends and family helping, maybe an entire town's worth, in order to even get a chance of getting the tickets we want.

Absolutely! I was very lucky to get arena SP for NHK but how can I justify spending thousands to travel to Japan for a 6min warm-up and about 5mins of SP and k&c? I will have to risk resale tickets to make it worth it and that's scary.

 

They really don't care about foreign fans. I think they're just going through the motions.

I was already at the site 15 mins before, but the link for buying tickets wasn't there yet.

When the clock struck 10am, I refreshed the page.

Do we need to refresh the page? Or should I have just waited for it to refresh automatically?

I refreshed the page but got errors from it - I guess it was overloaded. For NHK I refreshed but that was fine. I don't want to risk waiting.
