October 22, 20223 yr I will say this about Roman: he stayed on his feet even when his jumps went wrong, which is an improvement. 2019 Roman would have been on his butt with those. So he's still getting better. Kao's skate was absolute magic. He nailed every detail. And he held the audience's attention riveted throughout. He deserved his high scores. (In case anyone's wondering, I'm at SkAm this weeked. Section 107, row H, seat 4 if satellites want to visit.) If I may dip in pairs for a moment: it was sheer joy to watch both (sweetly drama-free) skates by the Canadians. So nice to see a clean short program from any Canadian team.
October 22, 20223 yr I woud love this podium to stay, as unlikely as it is. Go, Kao! Jun's StSq is magic. Didn't see such a good one in a long time.
October 22, 20223 yr Honestly all the skating was excellent. The only flaws were the flubbed jumps. I haven't seen such an across-the-board good-at-skating skills group of men in a long time.
October 22, 20223 yr Lol, one of the czech commentators didn't even know there's no patterns for senior RD's anymore
October 22, 20223 yr ISU commentator (Chris?) is such a Daisuke fan, everytime he sees him he just lights up lol
October 22, 20223 yr KanaDai just did a fabulous job! They were practicing that lift so hard on Thursday
October 22, 20223 yr So Shane & Carolane missed on the end of their twizzles - she rotated one more time than him 😬 4 minutes ago, YuDai said: Surprisingly low scores for KanaDai Audience did not like the scores
October 22, 20223 yr Madi&Evan - I barely could hold my attention, sth was very off in their performance for me, energy not there; it's like they got stuck in their formula thay maybe worked 3 seasons ago, but it's not exiting anymore
October 22, 20223 yr I can't understand the 79 and the 82. I'm not quibbling with the placements but man I do not understand ice dance scoring
