Hmm...beijing obviously it's Peking Duck. You have to try that, don't recall anything else. For Shanghai, I'd recommend trying "生煎包“ and "灌汤包”- a type of dumpling that's super famous local food for Shanghai, the second one that has soup filling inside. Kun Ming is rice noodles- try 过桥米线, and their local food is a bit on the spicy side, but you might like it if you really like thai food. Guangzhou-the home of dim sum, leans a bit more towards the sweet side (Shanghai is similar in that regard), try叉烧肉, baked and braised duck/goose/chicken, and if you're really courageous try chicken feet! I'm drawing a blank on Nanjing, sorry.

I can skate, but definitely not on the level of the memelord, so I can't compete with him for fielty. And for all the flattery, have some of this:

AH. WHY THE SUDDEN FEELS.

I will write all of that down! Also, I don't know why, but chicken feet are a thing here too. At least, I remember gnawing on them when I was little. Didn't gross me out too much, but they are kind of annoying to eat since there's so little meat, heh.

Well the refrain in english is "I would willingly become that angel that you love from the fairytales, transform my open hands into wings to protect you. You must believe that we will continue on like a fairy tale, where happiness and joy is the ending." I think that's quite appropriate for our planet's feelings for Yuzu, no?

Hell yes. I worry too much about that guy's mental state. Almost as much as my own lol. I just want him to be happy, and skate happily, even if there is so much as stake... *sighs* But I definitely believe happiness and joy is his ending, yes, it has to.

I made my flatmate fall for Yuzu too so now I have someone to fangirl with! And we literally just bought a trip to Milan for Mens Free on a whim! It still feels like a dream to me.:13877886:

I talk about figure skating enough I practically forced a friend to follow it now :tumblr_m9gcraReGL1qzckow: Her favourite is of course Yuzuru lol and I did not even have to help her with this choice. She decide all on her own that he is a Yuzuru stan :tumblr_inline_mzx8xsVPrg1r8msi5:Having people irl to talk about Yuzuru is blessed

I'm going for a 2-week crash course tomorrow before exams in January and I'm having cold feet about just attending the course. Watching Yuzu Swan EXs to calm myself like an asthma-attack patient holds onto an inhaler for dear-life. What else is good for social interaction anxiety disorder?

Ahhh, it'll be fine!

I'm weird, very few people who know me IRL know I have VERY bad social anxiety problems. But that's because I stress SO MUCH about going out/meeting people that I either just flake and stay home, or I am so exhausted from all worrying that I cross my threshold and reach 'Eff it, no brain-to-mouth filter' stage. So a lot of people think I'm in fact a very gregarious, sociable person who only turns up once in a blue moon. :/

But when neither of that is a good option, like your situation now, I do these counting deep breathing things. Focus on counting and breathing deep, then exhaling slowly while counting out seconds again. It cuts down on nervous sweating and slight giddiness just before you have to interact with people. And carry a book and music with you, if you're overwhelmed, you can always withdraw and be the bookish nerd character who smiles at everybody but is too busy reading to talk to anybody.

Thanks for the tips, @WinForPooh! The morning started off pretty awkward with my frozen-face (me trying to smile but not sure if I'm achieving it). I did use your music tip (Yuzu's Chopin and Notte Stellata) and brought headphones with me to tune out surroundings after lunch. You must be really good at hiding it or have amazing self-control to appear outgoing! 😂 but no "brain-to-mouth" filter is a funny way of saying it.

It's what I call post-panic stage. I always have very active internal monologue going on, it just stops being internal after my brain has fried in my anxiety for long enough.

But you know, it helps to remember that most people are really worried about/thinking of their own stuff, so what you do isn't of any consequence to them. If your goal during enforced socialisation is to just get through it, thinking 'nobody cares' over and over again, which would be a horrible prospect for most people, is comforting for me. (You don't have the brain-to-mouth filter switching off problem, so this will not cause additional anxiety to you, in case you say it out loud.)

I'm going to try that the next time I get stuck in an awkward moment... which will likely be tomorrow.

I'm going to be extremely not original now, but when I'm nervous in public, especially when I need to speak (oral examinations included), I try to find in the audience a person I know or just a friendly face. Then I focus my eyesight on this person and imagine that I'm taking with him/he only.

All the talk about crushes. On my office wall, there is a little picture that a female coworker drew with a permanent marker, that reads XXX <3 <Xen>, with a heart and arrow too. We have never figured out how to clean it, so it is now an official feature of my office space. And my male coworkers take pride in my weird ability to attract ladies.
