recent convert or did we just feed an existing flame?

Rinkmate took a swan and one of kiches pins, so I told him welcome to the Hanyu fanclub. He just smiled and learned to stop protesting.

There were a couple guys from my rink secretly asking me for swans....

She liked him because I like him. But now she says "after Yuzuru there's no turning back, right..."

SUCCESS. DID HE FINALLY ACCEPT HIS FATE AS A CAPTURED SATELLITE?!

No, in public he still says he is not a fan... just that he thinks Yuzu is a great skater, but will not gush over him in public.

My University courses are up. I didn't expect it to be light, but I'm feeling a little overwhelmed.

Mainly the thing that sucks more is that I have one class starting at 8 am on Tuesday. It takes me 1.30 hour to go to university. I'll have to wake up before dawn :sadPooh:

I guess I have to be thankful it's not every morning.

Also, I have such weird lesson timing. For example, on Friday I have 11 am to 1 pm Japanese, then 1 pm to 3 pm Linguistics, than 3 pm to 5 pm Oriental Arts History. When am I supposed to eat?! LOL. I'm gonna die.

I also have to be thankful most Figure Skating Competitions will happen during evening or night :xD: I'd rather lose sleep over losing the stream party experience over uni classes.

I feel you so hard on the bad scheduling. Although I think I prefer back to back classes, the worst for me is when I have a 4+ hour gap between classes which I seem to get every quarter  Once I had a lab at 8 am and then class from 7pm to 10pm. Why.

Classes for 6 straight hours sounds like a killer though (how did I do this every day in high school?? I had 3 classes in a row last year for 4.5 hours and I was Suffering) Can you not eat in class?

I guess my answer to this is "I paid 30% less attention in class for every hour that came after the first" xDD

I'll have to, I'll just buy myself a pretty Bento and make the lunch experience as pretty as possible to get through the year LOL!

Luckily, I have already made some friends and in the Freshmen group, everyone already knows and is a Fan of Yuzuru

Lucky you guys who have found someone (or two) to gush over Yuzu... I have no one in particular. If there is one it's my online friend/we don't get to meet that often.

Talking about univ.. @Muriel wow what a schedule that is... how come they arrange it that way. I'm past my uni days but back then we had a pretty convenient schedule with plenty of break time. We also didn't have to start so early. The earliest is 9am class and usually we'd still have time to have light breakfast at the canteen/cafe.

I work in an institute now and our schedule has 20 mins break per session so it allows students time to eat, or snack at the very least.

I hate 8am classes with a burning passion, my brain just doesn't function before 10am :anger:

As someone who has been on the other side of this discussion I feel I should say something. Scheduling for classes is a real nightmare, especially in large institutes where students in different years and majors share the same lecture theatres and labs. You have to take into consideration all courses, students and teaching staff and make sure they have adequate place and time for the lecture and it is hard. Many lecturers also have other responsibilities that limit their availability and makes it even harder to schedule their classes. So, it is very normal to end up with very weird timetables.

Sorry about that, but it is as hard for the staff as it is for the students

Yeah, I think the students (some) get it, so in the end the best way is to talk between students and teachers and try to come up with the best solution for everyone. I've been lucky to have only one class placed at the same time as another one, but my friend has 5 classes with the same schedule xD

I think finding Yuzuru fans depends a lot on the environment... I am a freshman in Japanese, so of course every other student is a fan of Japan and very likely already knows Yuri on Ice and/or Yuzuru. I've also found a guy who I had already seen in the Italian facebook group managed by Max Ambesi! xD I will try to convince as many as possible to come here and get an account <3

There are places neither teachers nor students have their say - if there's a limited number of classrooms. So I fight with that. Teaching from 10.30 to 22.00 with a three hour gap tomorrow and from 10.30 to 19.00 non-stop on Wednesdays.

Oh yea I totally get it.. I have no intention of putting the blame/complain ofc.

I work with the operations/scheduling team too and have felt the struggle with the scheduling, especially with those who are picky with schedule. And our institution is very new and still small (though it's like a cousin of a much bigger one) so I could only imagine for a big one, the headache in handling it and having to consider all parties involved.

In fact, just recently, before this semester began it was pretty 'chaotic' with the scheduling team and there were last minute changes made and it actually pissed me off because for some reasons some people just like to make the other suffer. :hachimaki: We're actually quite lucky because the scheduling staff is pretty much still accommodating to the lecturers' request. In the future though, with the growing students/classes, I don't think it'll be so flexible anymore.

Yea I think coming up with some kind of class agreement would be nice. Hope it'll work out fine for you guys..

About the fans.. Ooo I see haha that explains it.. Well tbh now I don't really have time to 'fangirl' (if you will) anymore due to work. Even in weekend I'm not always free. This weekend is an exception. Catching up to stuff is very hard but I think I should be grateful still because I could still squeeze in time to check/backtrack.
