September 12, 20215 yr Makar Ignatov 4Lo, 4S fall, 4T two footed, 4T tf, 1A, 3LzEu..., 3LoEu2S, One great jump - 4Lo. Well done. Still is very much exhausted after his program. Slows down greatly. Deniss Vasiljevs' spin at the end
September 12, 20215 yr Author It's an ambitious layout for Makar with the 4 quads. He looks tired by the end, he often has stamina issues in the second half of his free skate. But it's a nice program though...I wonder if it'll be him who'll be sent to Nebelhorn? He has won it two years ago.

September 12, 20215 yr Dmitri Aliev to Hopkins's Waltz 3Lz, 3T3T, 3T, 3F off a great transition, 2A messy, another jump, and another. Not in a great form...
September 12, 20215 yr I do always enjoy Dmitry's skating and connection to the music - not his best performance though, it will improve I am sure
September 12, 20215 yr Gotta go now, just wanted to see how the boys were doing. Not bad, not bad. Not Olympic title contenders, but respectable near-podium candidates. Defininitely progress compared to around 7-8 years ago.
September 12, 20215 yr Author I liked B/K's free skate, it looks promising. M/G's skated in the same rhythm even after the abrupt music change when the rhythm got much faster. Their lifts are so difficult, though, they are stunning.
September 12, 20215 yr Author This Lighhouse program is much better for T/M than their previous Olympic FS, Candyman. They missed their last lift completely and Evgenia doubled the Salchow. All three pairs made a few mistakes today, which is OK, there is still time before the GP series. It will be interesting to follow who will be the strongest Russian pair this season.
September 12, 20215 yr M/G also have some nice choreo moves (although I think there were some that we saw last season) and I liked their intro to the death sprial. Out of the three pairs in the last group they skated the cleanest - at least it seemed to me that their mistakes weren't as severe as the B/K (fall after throw jump) and T/M (step out of a throw jump and no last lift). But there is still time to work on those mistakes (and in my opinion T/M program is definitely better than the one for 2018 Olympics).
September 12, 20215 yr Author Kseniia 4T<< fall 2F-2T 2A-3T tight 2A 2Lz-eu-3S tight 3Lz 3F spins clockwise and then counterclockwise, nice

I find them inspiring and fresh- the evidence is that they bring some piece as firsts and then we have bunch of program to that piece next seasonns, they are followed. They are a step forward in setting trends. Ksenia - not the best skate, but a lot of potential in that program, again - sth different.
