Apparently Jimin wrote a really heartfelt and touching letter to one of the soldiers being discharged and called him his 'son', even though the other soldier was actually older. I just watched when the album of the year award was announced and they said "the nominees had albums with extraordinary success in the melon music charts"......then they showed the nominees and I was like "huh???". No seventeen, no txt, no stray kids, no illit, non of our guys.....but day6, this virtual group, aespa and the others were artists I have never heard before. So, work the melon charts differently (oh, and aespa won, of course) or what is going on there? I don't know much about them or Kpop in general, but I've been hearing a lot of misgivings about it on Youtube. Seems that they're catering to SM and sponsors. Not sure if it's always been this way to an extent, but that would make it even more extraordinary that BTS managed to break through in the early years. These days, they're so successful that they can't be denied due to the structure of the point system - of course, that also explains why they decided to revamp the nom/winner process. And it looks like they did a tribute to BTS but excluded Yoongi? And this is getting ridiculous - Jin looks young enough in this pic from the High touch event to be a part of the Enhypen lineup instead of BTS. Seriously, he's managed to be both sexier and more cutie patootie marshmallow princess than ever. ETA: also think it's interesting that on multiple occasions, he's previously expressed being annoyed at being "mis-gendered", but now he's telling people to call him a princess instead of a prince. Did finishing military service make him feel comfortable with his baby gurl side? @Faithyu GG talk Spoiler Just heard Rose's new song. Gosh - her singing sounds so much better than I ever remember it. Up until her recent solo releases, I thought BP was 99% marketing/image with no real musical talent but she seems to be genuinely good. I'm glad that she isn't continuing the BP "I'm hot and rich" schtick in her solo era. I'm looking forward to hearing her album You'll be glad that you're not on X at all - the X Blinks are really shooting themselves in the foot. Jin praised Apt as his current favorite Kpop song and the Blink response was to disparage him and his music. The few ARMY that might have been willing to embrace her music won't give her a chance with that treatment. Even other Blinks are complaining about Blinks setting up Rose because they don't seem to acknowledge how much of a role Bruno Mars played in her success and are using Apt's success to disparage BTS members only to have fan war ARMY's rub it in that Number One Girl did what ARMY's predicted, which is drop down to her previous solo streaming numbers
rockstaryuzu
About the Melon awards: Even though they seem to be trying to lure ARMY back with token awards to JK, and a 'BTS retrospective', if you look at all the footage they're using, they've conspicuously cut or edited Yoongi out of it all. So eschew Melon, I would say. They can rot like the rest of SM. Also, apparently one of the Japanese fans called Jin princess at the high touch and he was super-pleased, so idk. Jin's behavior still reads more 'prince' than 'princess' to me, in that he seems to thrive on taking care of people rather than being taken care of. Funny how we both think of these terms differently. 'Prince' screams arrogance to me, wile 'Princess' is humanity and caring. I can just picture his face upon hearing that "Hime-sama" from that ARMY

And I picture Jin in a Nintendo store, the proverbial kid in a candy shop. Yet another poll - but we can pick as many as we like, so it's easy to just go with all our members (and TXT)

For me, 'princess' always has a slightly petulant, Marie Antoinette flavour. I'm sure Jin's cultural references for the term 'princess' are different again, though. barbara
To see the news of Yeontan first thing when I woke up today made me cry. I, too, hope he had a chance to say goodbye. Tannie had many health issues and Tae gave him such a good life. So sad. On a bright note:

But, as a small dog, I had hoped he'd last until post-military, And I am surprised that Mickey is still around. I don't know how old he he but he seemed old the last time there was a photo of him, pre-military.
