Hmmmm..... How about that 4T-high kick?

Aaawwwwww I will miss his 4T-high kick this season :tumblr_inline_mqt4gi2T9v1qz4rgp: don't think it suits Seimei or Chopin (at least there're 3A twizzles)

Nope! Closest rival she's worked for that I know of was Daisuke - she did his Pagliacci program.

I only really took notice of her because of what she's done for Yuzu but I hadn't taken her for someone who would excell at SP, though there's zero basis for that assumption and she's probably wonderful and terrific and I shall be conducting more research right away.

Shae did Radionova's last year's SP and it was quite nice, other examples I don't remember well.

I want Nathan to have awesome programs this season tbh, because otherwise I feel like a salty Fanyu saying they are too empty

His LP last season was so quad-oriented that I ended up hating it, sorry Nathan.. I have high hopes for his new programs :tumblr_inline_ncmifaymmi1rpglid:

At least the costume was beautiful! #totallywouldwear

And, yes, I feel guilty for the salt, too. All these kids are amazing to achieve what they have at such a young age. They just happen to have the great misfortune of being alive at the same time as Hanyu.

I really, really liked the Pagliacci she did for Dai and I saw so much Yuzu in it that it made me crave a Yuzu Pagliacci.

I'm a terrible traitor to my gender but I really can't get into women's figure skating. Somehow it feels like a completely different sport.

... and it's too girly for me. :headdesk:

(Interestingly enough, though, when I was younger I didn't like men's because it was too macho!)

I think I just love the masculine/feminine balance that exists in men's skating these days which seems completely absent in women's.

Also, space race with quads is too exciting. :mischief:

If he is planning 6 quads in LP it will end up quad-oriented, we like it or not.

I am salty fanyu, yes. Because of 4CC. But it's not Nathan's fault.

Just thinking about 5-6 quads makes me dizzy, I'll bite so many pillows to death this season :13877886:

Ahahaha... I watch everything but I always loved men the most cuz quads looks exciting and if a skater is good artistically men ususally are more interesting/different, in girls there almost always were smth. lyrical or carmen/tango.

My second fave discipline is pairs, some of their elements are just wow :knc_yuzu1:

Right? I feel like I can connect emotionally as a human being with men's programs because they're not so bloody sexualised or obsessed with delicacy and supressing their power. Those female skaters are so strong but they do everything to cover it up. It's the same with ballet and it's always praised as a wonderful thing to be strong yet appear delicate. They would be so much more dynamic if they would display their strength. That's why I appreciate Ashley Wagner, though she's too flashy and all-American for me to really enjoy her skating, because she's not afraid to be bold. On the other hand, I do really like Satoko who genuinely does fit that sweet image because of how natural she is.

For pairs and ice dance, I love those who can move beyond he tired old romantic nonsense and those with a great sense of humour. Find me a better pair than Torvill and Dean!

It wouldn't be fun watching competitions if Yuzu just walked all over everyone (though, you know...)

hahahaha I must agree, it's not fun if you already know the outcome of who's gonna win! A tight race when the protagonist wins gives the best feeling!  :knc_brian1:

which is why I'm not that thrilled watching the ladies all through last season when medvedeva is there, after her hellish consistency the season before that, I just need to wait and see who's getting silver and bronze :tumblr_inline_mm2wb3v3qq1qz4rgp:

How about Gabby Daleman? Powerful skater, with powerful jumps and she doesn't fit into the girly girl theme too much.

Word. The balance of the two opposites is where the magic happens :star-plucker-smiley:

Ngl, sometimes I wish I could seat through men's competition just like I watch ladies  It is not good for my health endure things like the last Worlds

But there is no escape from this planet...

I'm just not as invested in ladies skating as I am in the men's but I like it a lot still. They just really aren't doing many different elements from each other the way the men are.
