lajoitko
I post this here instead of Olympics thread, because he explains his whole skating philosophy in couple of sentences in English. I am so proud of him [NEWS] Link to comment

The most important thing is that he heals completely and can enjoy skating with a fully healthy body and fully healthy ankles again. The men's competition at these Worlds will be so predictable and boring. As far as I know, Nate will participate, so we already know who the winner will be. And the medalists will probably be the same as at the Olympics. At least women's will be a real competition and interesting again. I hope Yuzu will eat lots of yummy food, sleep a lot, play video games and just relax. He can take all the time he wants. He doesn't have anything to prove. His fans will always love him and patiently wait for him. I don't think the women's podium is that unpredictable. Same with Nate and the men, barring disasters, Kaori most likely will stand on top. Silver and Bronze are anyone's games but Wakaba, both of the Korean skaters, Loena and Alysa all have good chances. Mana too if she can get it together again, and Mariah if USFS is determined. Same goes for ice dance and pairs. Yuzu can make Worlds fun but alas he prioritizes his health and rightly so. Since it is like this, I don't see the point of watching WC. Link to comment

Xiupia
Axelwithwings team, thank you so much for your work! Like, really thank you. 20 minutes ago, cereus said: Many thanks to the AWW team for all their translations. Well. This was hard. Great, great interview. I will bookmark and show this to everyone to explain why I like this athlete so much. Very insightful, very melancholic, eloquent. His answers were much better than the questions (that were quite standard / canned); I really appreciate how he always remember the victims of the Great Earthquake of 2011, how the event shaped who he is and how he meditates on it to guide him thorough. I wish I loved anything as much as he loves skating haha You grew a lot Yuzu. Link to comment

Guest Mary_kyo
Wow, what an interview and what an inspiring precious person he is. Very thoughtful and full of emotion answers. He played his own game, with no support from his federation but with massive courage and hardwork. Beijing was the ultimate proof that he didn’t and will never trade “Hanyu skating” with “ISU skating” even if Olympics medals are on the trading table. *goosebumps* Link to comment
eren
I have watched Yuzu's presscon after PC for many times. I just love watching him talk. My brother, who is not a fanyu, also loves watching his interviews. Yuzu is so eloquent (the logical mind, manners, calm...) AND sincere. My brother said that even people who didn't feel emotionally connected with Yuzu's performances would be deeply moved by his interviews. The Feb 14 one is also great. I believe Yuzu will stand out even in other fields. Link to comment

I’m already preparing for this drought by listing old threads I want to read lol (sounds pathetic I know, but hey I was not here before! 🤣) Or visiting the video archives. Just last week I read the PC thread, good times At least I got to relive it through PH. Thank god for PH! Honestly I also sometimes read in old threads, where for me as new Fanyu there is always still something news to "discover". Of course I'm also thankful for the organizing of the "Yuzu Skating parties". Together we will also survive this drought. Let's hope that Yuzu's ankle is healing well. [NEWS] Link to comment

I wish I liked something as much as he liked skating haha You have grown a lot Yuzu. with your writing and I observed Yuzu's face well when he talks about this disaster of 2011 and I thought that for a moment he would have tears in his eyes and for that, I say and write RESPECT Mr Hanyu Link to comment

Since that's how it is, I don't see the point of watching WC. I respect your choice not to watch these worlds (and maybe other fanyus) and I have the selection of French participants : https://www.ledauphine.com/sport/2022/02/17/papadakis-cizeron-aymoz-une-selection-francaise-sans-surprise-pour-les-mondiaux (you will see the error of Yuzu's participation which has not been removed) and also : https://www.montpellier-tourisme.fr/offre/fiche/championnats-du-monde-de-patinage-artistique-2022/FMALAR034V51XGL5#! and I would admire them, of course and for the rest of the participants outside France, I don't know and maybe and surely you who have twitter, would know better than me and I would observe : the ice / the medals / the catwalk ...... I just saw the special magazine of Sendai City (which is now known WORLDWIDE) by Yuzu and the word "HERO" and his pride for his "monster 4A" challenge. On the other hand, have you seen and read, if FOI will take place this year 2022? and surely see Yuzu there? PS : sorry my links are in French, but you can translate them Link to comment

I’m so grateful for their videos and their translations. And I’ve cried a little bit with Yuzu’s words. As usual, he’s polite, thoughtful, insightful… Not many athletes are so smart, polite and eloquent, he’s one of a kind. Link to comment
